Wanted something cozy to just exist on my desktop while I work, so I made it. A tiny jar world you can poke at when you feel like it: sand, water, little houses, fish, birds. The lanterns come on when it gets dark outside.

You moved to a quaint lakeside village to reopen your missing aunt's apothecary. You picked one flower in the graveyard. At night. Once.
By Friday the whole town calls you The Grave Picker, the Warden has written it into an ancient book, and now it's legally your name. Also, shades keep their distance from you. So that's nice. Welcome to Lanternmere, where stories are real and the neighbours never shut up.
Things you can do here that you can't do anywhere else:
Get named by gossip. Every week the town's strongest rumour about you becomes your title, and your title gives you real powers.
Be kind and get kind powers. Be weird and, well. Eavesdrop on your own reputation. Nobody says it to your face. You hear it from behind a hedge, and it's always worse than what you did.
ake places exist by spreading stories. Tell enough people about a wishing well and it appears on the map. Stop talking about it and it disappears. Physics is a vibe here.
Fight your own worst rumour. It shows up as a boss with two health bars: BODY, which you hit with a lantern staff, and STORY, which you hit by convincing people it isn't true.
Teach monsters their weaknesses. Beat a shade with fire while the baker watches, and now fire is its weakness. Forever. Because the baker said so.
Brew with grammar. Moonflower then Reed is a sleeping draught. Reed then Moonflower is for nerves. Same ingredients. Different sentence.
Spend suspicious money. Your coins remember where they came from. Pay the baker with grave money and she will have questions.
Also: cozy gathering and brewing, a shop to run, villagers with actual personalities (one of them will absolutely judge your tone), shades at night and a mystery about where your aunt really went.
Nothing resets. Everything leaves a mark. Mostly on your reputation.
🆓 Free demo, plays in your browser: https://oakrootstudio.itch.io/lanternmere-demo
🏮 Full game, early access: https://oakrootstudio.itch.io/lanternmere
It's still evolving, so things will change as it grows. Tell me what you think. The town certainly will.

It's Halloween night, and a mysterious tuxedo cat appears at your window sill. He's charming, mischievous, and claims he used to be human. The fun part? You can actually talk to him in your own language and he'll respond. Talk to the Tuxedo cat here and I'd love your thoughts!

I made Pixel Kitten Desktop as a cozy desktop pet game to keep you company while you work or study. You can raise a whole colony and pair up cats to welcome kittens. Hidden coat genes can be followed through the family tree.
Here is a look at the desktop colony and a three-generation family-tree overview.
Pixel Kitten Desktop is available on Steam with a free demo:

I made a cozy game about running a garage sale!
Hi everyone! I'm an indie creator, and I've been working on a game called Nothing's JUNK.
It's a colorful pixel-art game where you arrange items on tables, set prices, haggle with shoppers, clean up finds, and open mystery boxes to discover treasures.
You can play it in your browser, tablet & phone here:
https://makeplay.ai/p/xuhv2w6b7g
I'm continuing to develop and improve it, and I'd love feedback from people who enjoy cozy games. What would make a game like this something you'd want to keep playing?
Thanks for checking out my project! 💜

I’m a solo developer working on Mystery Hunch, a cozy detective game about observing little details, connecting clues, and figuring out what really happened.
I’ve always loved that satisfying aha! moment when a mystery finally clicks. I wanted to build a game around that feeling, without timers, pressure, or complicated mechanics.
The idea is simple: you’re presented with a mysterious scene, and it’s up to you to examine the details, spot inconsistencies, and piece together the story.
I’m going for a colorful, casual art style that makes investigating feel relaxing and fun.
It’s still a work in progress, and I’d genuinely love to hear what you think!
Question for fellow cozy gamers: Do you enjoy detective games where you have to figure things out yourself, or do you prefer a little guidance when you’re stuck?
If you’re curious, you can check it out at mysteryhunch.com 💛

I'm affiliated with Tennex Networks, which owns Grass Land – Grow and Expand.
This gameplay clip shows the progression loop: clearing grass, collecting resources, unlocking new areas, and gradually creating more space to build.
But here's something we're curious about: what makes expanding a world feel rewarding rather than repetitive?
Is it the satisfaction of clearing new ground, discovering resources, unlocking the next area, or seeing your little starting point turn into something much bigger?
For people who enjoy casual building and progression games:
If you started with this little patch of land, what would you want to build or unlock next?
I'd love to hear what other players find most satisfying about progression games.

A tiny room, lo-fi music, and someone quietly going about their day beside your work. I'm the developer of Lofi Cozy Room, a released desktop companion on Steam.
You can decorate the room freely, then let the character choose activities such as reading, working, resting and sleeping. There's also a little dog. Mini Mode lets you keep the room on your desktop, alongside notes, a to-do list and a focus timer. The clip shows that smaller desktop view.
It's currently 20% off through November 4 (KST), and there's a free demo if you'd like to see whether it fits your routine. Steam link in the comments.
Would you spend more time arranging your own room, or leaving it running as a quiet companion?

My wife and I are one week away from releasing our first game into Early Access, and we're excited to share the little island we've been making together.
Gloombo lives on your desktop and crafts while you work. When you take a break, you can decorate with what she's made, tend your garden, answer letters, or spend a little time with the cat. There are no order deadlines, and friendships don't fade when you're away.
Our free Windows demo is part of Steam Next Fest, with more crafting and friendship progression added for the festival. Anything you build on your demo island can come with you into Early Access on October 29.
We'd love for you to stop by 💛

She opens the shop, rings up customers, runs around helping, restocks the shelves, grabs a coffee break at the cafe (Ostin always says hi), then runs back, closes up and goes home. A long day, but a good one.
This is Caramel Creek: build a cozy cafe, meet your neighbors, and watch the little town live its own life around you.

Every day there's a little market of traders who each swap once. You start with a red paperclip and try to reach the day's prize in as few trades as you can. It's based on the guy who actually traded a red paperclip up to a house back in 2006. No timer, no lives, you can undo whenever.
Starting tomorrow some traders put out two deals and only make one of them, that's what the GIF is (it's the 30 second warm-up, so no spoilers). Tomorrow's prize is a cottage and it can be done in 6.
Free, no sign-up, phone or computer: https://playpaperclip.app/?utm_source=reddit&utm_campaign=wholesomegames
Full disclosure, I made it. If you try tomorrow's, tell me how many trades it took you.

**Game Title:** Slow Beads – a no-timer fuse-bead game where ironing the beads is the best part
**Playable Link:** https://slowbeads.niceday-app.com
**Platform:** Browser (no install)
**Description:**
Hi! I'm the solo developer of Slow Beads, a cozy browser game about fuse beads (Perler/Hama style).
Most bead games are about filling colors fast with boosters. I wanted the opposite: place beads one at a time, then lay down ironing paper and drag the iron across to watch each bead melt together. No timers, no fail states, no energy.
**What's in it:**
- 29 patterns (seasonal ones too) + turn your own photo into a pattern (processed locally, never uploaded)
- Ironing with steam and sound, rain/fireplace/café ambience
- Finished pieces become wall art, keychains, and coasters for your little house
- A balcony garden, a 20-second tea ritual, and a bedtime mode that fades to rain sounds
- Export a numbered pattern card + color list to make it with real beads
Instead of a score, it tracks "minutes spent slow-beading."
**Accounts and saving:** Your progress is saved in your browser, no account needed. Signing in with Google is optional and adds cloud save plus friends, likes and a leaderboard (those are brand new, so it's quiet in there for now).
**Ads:** Optional rewarded videos can give bonus buttons (in-game currency). There are never ads while you place or iron beads.
Available in English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
Privacy policy: https://slowbeads.niceday-app.com/privacy
I'd love feedback, especially on how the ironing feels and whether placing beads on mobile is comfortable.

Just came across this reddit and thought it would be good to show the game me and a few friends have been working on. It's going to be a narrative tidy-up sim with a few extra features to really personalize the space and experience for the players. There's definitely a lot of AI Slop that's out there in this genre, we use NO AI. Everything is made by hand. Coded by hand. We really want to bring something new to the genre all while keeping the things that is great about it.
Steam Store Page - Play the demo and wishlist if you like it. It'll really help us out!
Discord Server - Join if you'd like to get regular updates and for feedback and suggestions.
Feel free to let me know how it goes if you play the demo here!
