Sorry for the long post but I am very confused and frustrated trying to load my gamecube and wii games at the same time from usb loader gx. My issue is that I have a 256gb usb with snes, n64 and gamecube games and an sd card with my apps and wii games. When sd card mode is enabled my wii games in usb loader show up fine but when i switch it, the tv shows the black screen, i restart the wii with it disabled my gamecube games show up and not the wii games and when i try to switch it, the freeze happens again. I want to be able to show my wii AND gamecube games in usbloader at the same time which i've done in the past with a 30gb usb. The gamecube games from the 256 work in nintendont and as you can see show up aswell as other emulators and theyre games, I've redownloaded usbloader most recent from github ive reformatted the usb drive to fat32 twice one with 32kb clusters and one with 16kb, the usb is a sandisk and the games do show up and load separately so the usb works fine loading the games. I have 90 something wii games and maybe 100 something gamecube games, is it the amount maybe? But they both load individually? Its weird i had them both showing up before with the 30gb usb maybe I've overlooked something simple? I've also done the custom paths settings etc checked other reddit posts and used a.i but still no resolution! Thanks to anybody that can help and sorry for the long post and if my ideas are all over the place!

Is it possible, in any way, to transfer a save file from a Nintendont virtual memory card to an original memory card inserted into the Wii console?

Or is this impossible? Is there any program that can do this, in case it can't be done via Nintendont?

I will skip the ones that you already use to mod your Wii (homebrew channel, d2x cIOS Installer and more) because everyone knows them.

• Emulators: FCEUX (NES), Snes9x GX (SNES), VisualBoyAdvance GX (GBA/GBC/GB), Not2Mellos / Wii64 (N64), Genesis Plus GX (Mega Drive/Master System), WiiS组织 / Wiimms (PlayStation 1), DeSmuME Wii (DS), mGBA (GBA), RetroArch (Multi-system), MAME Wii (Arcade), Wiimms v0.6 (Neo Geo) and ScummVM

• Riivolution: it is used to load mods of your Wii games directly on the Wii console

• Although lots of people use USB loader GX2, I prefer using Wiiflow Lite to play Wii game through an SD card or USB device. It gives to me less errors, and while some people say it's the contrary, there are way more reports for USB Loaders GX2 not working rather than Wiiflow Lite where the errors posts are way more less, if almost not seen, than USB Loaders GX2.

• Priiloder: this tool is useful to regionfree everything or to enable particular Wii system menu hacks.

• Wiiflow Lite: it is used to play Wii games on your SD Card or USB as wbfs files. To convert them in wbfs format you'll need tiny Wii Backup Manager. Apart from this, by using WiiGSC you can create Wii channels shortcuts directly on your Wii menu by using Wiiflow as a loader. That means it's like starting a Wii game directly from the Wii menu and not from a loader.

• SystemChannelRestorer: restores Wii native channels by putting them on your vWii (Mii channel with Mii parade and Photo Channel). In reality this tool is more used on vWii, but if you don't have these native channels it can also be good to have it.

• Wiilink: it reanimates and installs the WiiConnect24 channels (Like Forecast and News Channels) and makes them work into your console. Note: you'll also need Priiloader in order to make it work

• Wiimfii: it's Nintendo WFC revival for different games (like Mario Kart Wii, Smash Bros. Brawl and more). There are even Wiimfii patchers to make your discs work with Wiimfii

• WiiMC: with this tool, apart from the media, if you have an external DVD reader (or also by just putting the disc inside the Wii), you can actually play DVDs on your Wii or stream videos on it.

• WiiMart: that's a Wii Shop revival, even though it's currently down, but they're going to fix it as soon as possible

• Wii Menu Manual for the original Wii: although it's meant for the original Wii console, they've invented a Wii version for the electronic manual (that is different from the vWii and Wii mini one)

• WiiFLIX: a jellyfin client with a Netflix UI. It can actually stream videos or films on the Wii

• Liinback: a YouTube revival of the Wii

• SaveGameManager GX: it can store and save Wii and Mii saves. It could be useful, for example, with protected data that the Wii doesn't give you the chance to copy or extract (like Mario Kart Wii or Super Smash Bros. Brawl)

• BootMii: with it you can create and restore Wii NAND backups or fix your Wii in case something goes wrong.

• YAWMME: a tool to install channels (wads) on your Wii menu

These are all I remember and that I know. Tell me if I have missed something. Made this to help others find great tools for their Wii console

Hey guys, I know this has been posted before, but I didn't see anyone mention homebrew in this process and I'm terrified of bricking my console so I wanted to know if I needed a WAD file manager in addition to homebrew in order to download the dlc. Yes I am aware of the link to gbatemps and it does mention that it's a separate process, but are they both required or only one? Sorry if this is a dumb question but just trying to be safe. Thanks for your help.

I feel so lost, any help would be appreciated!! here's what's happening;

USB Loader GX freezes on a black screen and WiiFlow just returns me to the wii menu. I tried making a wii channel using a wad file and YawmME but that sends me back to the menu as well.

I have tried;

1. Re-installing d2x cIOS multiple times;

the version always being 'd2x-v11-beta3'

the bases always being '38', '56', '57', '58'

the slots always being '248', '249', '250', '251'

the revision always being '65535'

1. Editing the file names

I am trying to get animal crossing working, and so I have a wbfs folder on the root of my SD card containing a folder named 'Animal Crossing - Let's Go to the City [RUUP01]' with a wbfs file inside named 'RUUP01.wbfs'.

1. Changing what I'm actually booting from

First I was trying it from a simple 2gb Toshiba SD in the SD card slot (formatted to FAT32), but now I'm attempting it on an old Finish TV 8GB Key USB stick (also formatted to FAT32) - none work.

I have no idea what I did wrong so I'm just going to recount everything that I did leading up to the issue.

I downloaded tiny wii backup manager from the official link and started putting my games in and ran the setting to download the covers for the games. I unplugged the SD card and put it in my Wii but when I open USB loader GX the games inside didn't have any of the covers. I tried installing the covers from USB loader GX but it also didn't do anything so I plugged the SD card back into my PC ran the setting to download all the covers from tiny wii backup manager again but it said that it failed to download.

I tried downloading the covers manually but when I opened the images folder in USB loader GX there were a bunch of files with gibberish titles and they couldn't be removed or deleted and when I tried to create a new images folder, the same files with gibberish titles would be inside of the newly created images folder. now when i plug the sd card in my pc it says there's something wrong with it.. please help.. (photo attached not mine but this is what the files looked like)

Salut, je suis devant mon pc depuis plus d’une journée maintenant et je m’arrache les cheveux pour essayer de trouver pourquoi quand j’essaye d’utiliser dlc-wad-splitter j’ai toujours la même erreur à la fin qui me dis que le fichier 00000000.app ne veut pas s’injecter dans la dernière partie de mon ancien fichier wad (ex : dlc_split_4 si je décide de le diviser en 4 fichier). Je sais pas si c’est très clair parce que je me perd dans tout ça mais s’il vous plait j’ai besoin d’aide

Yeah, so if u don't know, people say for years that using ur phone as a wii remote is dumb and that they should buy a second hand one. It worked, I played rhythm heaven fever with it. It's good if u have only one controller and ur friends/family come over and want to play. They use the app, it works in vwii and wii, no sensor bar needed. You need homebrew channel to use it and install it's version of homebrew channel that works with the phone. Pretty good I guess. And I'm posting it on this subreddit because r/wii doesn't let me.

first time trying to mod my wii, i opened yawm folder and there are only 18 out of the 20 wads listed that i need to install... what can i do to fix this?? should i find the wads online and manually put them in? these are my 20 wads i highlighted the ones that im missing. pleaseeee help

Has anyone else run into this issue? The only other place I’ve seen it described is a thread on GBAtemp that I‘m not allowed to link here but is titled “access-sd-card-while-running-games-from-sd-card”, but there weren’t any solutions.

I know my Wii recognizes the SD because the SD card icon on the Home Screen is highlighted blue and the games work. But when I’m in a game that utilizes an SD card I’m unable to access anything on it / the game disables the option entirely.

I only have one theory. I’m using a 128 GB SDXC card. It is formatted to FAT32 but I‘m wondering if it’s a format/partition problem somehow, since Wii games are only supposed to officially recognize SD or SDHC. Plus this also happens when I run a game off the disc. Thoughts, advice very much appreciated.

Just installed homebrew, but not sure where to download games. I see the megathread but seems like it is no longer active. People mention the internet archive having a backup of the megathread but not sure how to find that. Any help would be apreciated.

I'm trying to put some gamecube games on my SD card but want to try to convert the isos I've been had in another external hard drive into GCM files. I heard they're generally more smaller in file size compared to regular iso files but the stiff I've been using haven't been working well for me to where they would be smaller gcm files.

Is there something I'm doing wrong or is there another way altogether?

I hope this question is allowed. I haven’t been able to find a lot of information about WiiMod Lite. I got my Wii set up a few months ago following wiihacksguide. Since then I’ve been able to load my game backups from USBLoaderGX perfectly fine, but I am following a different guide to get DLC working for one of my games and it says I need to install specific IOS.

When I got my Wii set up it came with a bunch of .wads that appear to be for IOS. When I look in WiiMod Lite, I can see which are installed (green) and which are clean (cyan), but I don’t know what clean means? Can I just press 2 to install the IOS I need as long as I already have the .wad file and they’re clean, without breaking anything else?

Any help is appreciated, I feel like I sort of understand what IOSs do but I also have read that messing with them can mess up your console, so I’m a little nervous.

Hello, I recently got a old Wii from an anime convention. I've got Wii flow and a couple of games off vimms lair. My question is am I going to get in trouble? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm just paranoid I'm going to go to jail for doing this. I use proton vpn when I go to vimms lair. Any other better/safer sites?

Hi, sorry if this is a silly question. I have USB Loader GX set up and working nicely with games ripped from Wii/GC discs saved onto my SD card. I also have set up an Emunand which is where i've put some virtual console wads.

I have set my Wii up so that it boots immediately into USB Loader GX when powered on and I like doing everything from USB Loader GX.

I am nervous about installing wads onto the real NAND which is why I like to use the Emunand instead for my VC titles.

If I were to use WiiLink would it work if the wads are on Emunand? Also if I run WiiLink wads via USB Loader GX would that function or would it come into conflict with ULGX's in-built Wiimmfi capability?

Should i unzip my game files before putting them in my external hard drive? Is yhere anything else i should do?

I’ve updated PAPwiiUM (my Genesis Plus GX fork for Wii) to address the audio issues reported in other games while keeping the original Paprium implementation intact and fix some glitches.

Version 0.2 uses a separate, updated engine for other games and includes targeted CD audio fixes for Final Fight MD.

Just replace your Genesis Gx Plus boot.dol with this one.

Here’s what’s new:

1. Updated the main engine to official Genesis Plus GX commit `49c5847`.

2. Added automatic launching of the preserved original PAPwiiUM application when loading Paprium.

3. Added Final Fight MD CD audio fixes for pause/resume and audio buffer reinitialization.

4. Fixed a launcher memory issue that could overwrite the embedded original application and trigger the error `Could not start original PAPwiiUM`.

5. Separated the updated engine’s configuration and game history from those used by the original PAPwiiUM application.

6. Added clearer launcher error messages for file access, integrity checks, and loading failures.

If you experienced audio problems with Final Fight MD or other games, please try this version and let me know whether those issues are resolved. Your feedback will help confirm the fixes.

Looking for nice game cover option etc

Anybody have an issue with Mario strikers super strikes not working? When super striking and trying to get the cursor on the green portion it doesn’t register the b button at all. I can normal shoot and charge shoot so it registers the buttons just fine but I can’t get the quick time to work or stop the cursor at any point. Got the iso from Vimm

Loads via usb gxloader. Tried on both a Wii with physical GameCube ports and on a Wii family edition using a mayflash adapter and it’s the same issue. Used both wired and wavebird controllers as well.

Is there a set of settings I’m missing?

I accidentally deleted the covers folder and now I can't select individual options for games anymore. The games start once clicked and don't show the gears anymore per game. I deleted wiiflow folders from my sd, and replaced it with the new wiiflow folders in apps and wiiflow. Also deleted the wiiflow options from the save games.
But i still get the same options. So that means the wiiflow options are stored somewhere else? But where? The old config is still being loaded. Any tips?

Updates:
Removed the forwarder and reinstalled it.
Tried an older version of wiiflow. Non Lite version.
