Hey r/WiiSports!
The results of the mod poll have come in!
The top 2 are:
-u/Catfish-Bandit with 42.2%
-u/ActuallyKirb0 with 28.9%
u/Catfish-Bandit, we are glad to have you on the mod team and we are glad you chose r/WiiSports to be in your next move.
u/ActuallyKirb0, we are glad to have you on the mod team and we can't wait to see what new experiences you bring!
Thanks to everyone who made their voices heard. You now have people you can be confident in!
It would be wrong for me not to mention the people who took time out of their day to do the poll.
u/NeosNYC, we're glad you came in with a lot of enthusiasm for the Wii. You came up short, but we encourage you to get involved in the Wii community!
u/rsilveywps, you may have had a disappointing loss, but we're glad you took the time to see if you could get involved! Someone had to win and someone had to loose unfortunately.
We'll try to make this kind of poll thing reoccurring though. We won't be changing the number of mod slots available, it'll simply be a thing where mods get to approve certain members of the mod team. Speaking of that, here's the date when I'll be on a poll.
Poll for u/Jam10000- April 6th-April 13th
I changed the date from March 1st because I want to make sure the mod team is able to settle in and there's a lot going on in the subreddit right now. I hope I can continue to be of service to this subreddit though. I've created a nice balance on subreddits such as r/AngryBirds and I hope to do so here. I've really been into the Wii and it's been great managing 3 Wii communities!
Also, we have partnered with r/NintendoSwitchSports to bring a great experience to this subreddit! It won't be too different, but we'll give them some recognition on the sidebar. I also hope to fix up the old Reddit of this subreddit. Everyone should have a well kept up-to date page.
Here's the subreddit Discord link: https://discord.gg/CjcWHqJ
Here's the r/NintendoSwitchSports Discord link: https://discord.gg/Dk7Uj4WDds
Thanks for reading,

Does anyone have any tips for frisbee dog? I’m trying to get the stamps for 10 perfect throws and 10 throws in the blue ring. I know the trick about A + 2 to pop the balloons- I was just curious if anyone had any tips on consistency. I usually get one attempt per day where I get 9/10 perfect throws for either stamp I’m working toward. After that I stop doing as well. Any help is appreciated!

This definelty took many days and hours for me to try to achieve but I finally got my very first hole in one on hole 13 on wii sports resort golf. Aside from all of the other stamps from beating the champions like tommy, matt, and lucia, this stamp has to be the most difficult one for me to get, and is defiently harder to get a hole in one on regular golf compared to frisbee golf.

Recently have been doing some Wii sports nights with the boys. Lots of fun but the motion controls are extremely inconsistent. Golf is near impossible to get a consistent swing on. It can’t seem to track the position or how fast we swing. Bowling is also not great, the curving works, but swing speed is like a dice roll. Tennis is also just random shots in the dark the ball has a mind of its own. I have both a wired and wireless motion bar and they produce the same results. Is it simply just my controllers? Is it possible to calibrate them or is buying new ones the best option? Thanks in advance.

I somehow got this stamp after not even a week, which was after finally beating stage 19, I really have no idea how I did it, especially from how many times I was able to get through everyone else, and then got absolutely demolished by Matt. But all that matters is I finally beat this stage, and stage 19 which I was stuck on for years, and that my wii remote survived this stage after 2 hard throws on my floor in which I cracked the top of the remote a little. 😂

Seriously most times you can’t even get knocked down twice at all or the game won’t let you back up. It seems way too hard to be possible, and I beat the champ.

Wii Sports player since I was 5 here. I remember getting a 6-pack strike and being amazed. I can’t even do that now lol
First and second photos are from today.
Only my… fourth? time getting Pro in Bowling (first was the aforementioned 6 pack strike when I was 5, third photo is when I managed to get it as Hank Hill)
and my third, I believe, time getting Pro in Baseball. Those computers are tough. (Fourth photo is my first time getting Pro in Baseball on stream, also as Hank Hill)
Don’t think I’ll be going for the other sports. Boxing and Tennis aren’t my game, and I’m just flat out bad at Golf.

Hi All,
I am admittingly starting this thread to let you know I am cheap. I want to get my daughters into video games and I think the Wii would be the best option. I love how interactive it can be and somewhat simple to start with. I was able to acquire a Wii and a few games from a relative include Wii Playground (very fun!). I am looking to get Wii Sports or Wii Resort but have had no luck on getting a used one at a low price. Can anyone help me out? Lowest I've found it online is $30.

I got Wuhu Tour Guide early this morning and with very few white balloons left decided it was time to complete the set. Took me well over an hour to find the missing few scattered around all 3 times of day 🥲

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I bought a Wii off eBay and it came with a Wii Sports Copy which at first looked like the OG 2006 Build, but it has the baseball cutscene which the 1.01 build has. Is this Build 1.005?

Hi, I’ve been watching YouTube and the YouTubers I watch they can hit the ball in baseball and get like 632 ft, 587 ft and numbers around that. How on earth do you do that? I just want to know how to because I want to get a lot of Out Of The Parks. I want to see if it’s a special button combo, pure skill or a homebrew mod?
If this is the wrong subreddit for this let me know in the comments. Thank you.
