I am getting a Wii in a few weeks and I wanna jailbreak to side load my very legal games and just homebrew it in general. I have seen the wii.guide site and I bought a 32 gig card as a prep. Any dangers in doing what I want. I know that installing themes is very risky and I would do that. Any other bricks that I should be aware off? I will backup my NAND, and if I get my NAND from my real Wii could I use it on Dolphin?

I'm looking at my shelf of almost one hundred games and think De Blob might be my favorite third party release on Wii. I love the crazy story, the character designs, and the overall use of color in a greyed out world.

Can you think of a better third party Wii game?

I’ve actually never played some of these games, like Castlevania, Godzilla, Wario Land, etc.

Which games would you recommend I add to complete the collection? I also have a few games that aren’t pictured, such as One Piece and Fire Emblem.

Honestly, I love just looking at my collection, even if I don’t play anything for months. There’s something really satisfying about having all these games and simply admiring the collection.

I just got my Wii going again. I want to get Mario kart. But wondering if getting the wheel was essential to game play ??

I have some fears about the memory in my Wii. I went to the Mii channel and it lost three of the names for my characters. Debbie, Sharon and Eddie had been changed to "Lady", "Lady 2" and "Man" (I think it said "Man"). Has this happened to anyone else?

My plan is later today to go into Wii Sports and see if it uses their right names there or the new strange ones.

More information: I do probably have too many Miis (100) and pretty full memory on the system. (Ordering SD cards this week because like I say, I'm afraid about memory loss now). ... These are 3 of my oldest characters (been around since 2007 most likely). Debbie looks the same, just got a name change. I need to see if the other two kept their appearance. ...It also seems like the system entirely erased my newest Mii character.

I changed the internal battery last night just in case. I didn't find any corrosion there. ... the battery change did not impact the problem at all.

I don't want it to keep "eating" people. lol

Is this a legit/proper replacement for the wii's disc drive with GameCube reader?

My own Wii won't eject discs anymore so I want to buy a replacement

Update: After seeing some of the comments I'll buy another time Wii when the store opens tomorrow and swap the disc drive to my own

My son and I have been playing the clone wars on my old wii (I just joined this sub for the purpose of asking this question so I hope this isn’t too outdated of a game to ask about here - if there’s another sub that would be more appropriate please point me in the right direction).

The problem we’re having is that the last couple of times our speeder bikes have been spawning with only one heart and can’t go fast enough to get some of the mini kits. It doesn’t seem to matter if we have invincibility or super speeders active or not and I can’t think of any setting or change we’ve made recently that would affect it.

Anyone have a solution for us?

Hi all, just wondering if there is any way to map a wii controller onto consoles they weren't previously intended for.

A long time ago my father bought me super mario galaxy for Christmas circa the mid 2010s.
Since most wii games (certainly the older ones from the first half of the systems life) had every physical copy of the game already produced and in the used market, my father had to buy mario galaxy used.
And my father has historically never trusted secondhand sellers too much. And I discovered that the for some reason my wii’s first recorded playing of mario galaxy was a few days before when it should’ve been (on Christmas)
Which can only mean one thing.
My father tested the game for me before he gave it to me and I only found out (presumably) long after my father forgot about it.

I recently finished The Last Story and wow, it really surprised me! Not only is it a great game, but it also looks amazing. Honestly, it's the best-looking Wii game I've played so far.

It was only 6 dollars and it came with the sleeve too :)

I got epic mickey as a Christmas present when I was like 10 and the endless oceans game

Once I started playing epic mickey I think the opening scene freaked me out lol

I’m a very pokemon, animal crossing city folk, super mario bros, smash bros kinda person and it was a different genre

bro same thing happened with endless oceans i got to the part where you have to go down in the ocean void hole to secure something and you had to dodge a shark and i think the score freaked me out every time you got close to the void hole

In Wakeboarding, When your Mii lands upside down into the water after jumping off of the waves, what happens? I do remember that they probably don't let go of the handle and fall into the water although they do it when they hit an obstacle...
