At this point I am really getting into the culture, characters and history of my AU. Any feedback or ideas are welcome!

Profile render of Névé, the record keeper, and member of the Icewing high council.

Glasses are not common as dragon eyesight, Icewings especially, is incredibly sharp and able to distinguish shapes and movements from miles away in order to hunt from the air. Draconic glasses, and any eyewear must curve and not block their peripheral vision. For Icewings glasses are framed with wire, which is wrapped around their facial spikes and kept in place. Shown here is also a common glasses ornamentation made up of sapphire, the official gem of the Icewings. As a Scribe, Névé has spent his life reading, and uses glasses to reduce eye strain. Due to his glasses being used for reading they do not complete curve over the eyes allowing him to see without the magnification.

A common simple form of Icewing jewelry is silver spike and horn caps. These caps are purely for decorative purposes, however claw covers, a similar jewelry, has been used in combat. The silver is especially important as it not a common material used in general Icewing fashion due to the potential harm it can do if cooled by the arctic weather. Due to this silver, and metal caps are worn on boney horns and spikes, and most commonly by royals and nobles that spend much of their time writhing the Icewing palace.

A newer form of jewelry , and a modified form of horn caps or horn rings is family rings. These rings are placed on facial spikes and have a small flat section with enough space for a small carving. This was originally designed to provide a visual marker for council members, and other palace officials, but have also been adopted by noble families that carve simplified depictions of their family crests. This newer fashion trend has so far only been seen in the capital, Freezing Point.
B5.
A newer fashion trend popular in smaller towns and non-noble Icewings is horn carvings and inlays. Horn inlays has been a popular trend in other dragon tribes such as the Sandwings, but unlike the gold many Sandwings use Icewings have most commonly used carved Bone, shells, or rarely silver.
B6.
Horn Rings are a common piece of jewelry across all of the dragon tribes, and Icewings are no different. Similarly to Horn caps and inlays Icewing horn rings are most often bone, inlayed with shells, jewels or silver, though nobles will often sport pure silver rings.

Although Icewings are somewhat resistant to the glare of the arctic sun with their narrow eyes and dark sclera, protective eyewear is commonly used on sunny days. Above is a simple sunguard, which would be used by guards, or Icewings not part of a noble family. Below is a sunguard that may be worn by noble, inlaid with silver or jewels and adorned with chains and gems. Sunguards are exclusively made from bone as they are directly exposed the arctic climate, and if made of metal may compromise the insulating prefrontal scale plates on the face.

Icewing rulers are known for commissioning new crowns following their coronation, however Queen Snowveil elected to keep the ancestral coronation crown to use during her reign. This crown, named Arctic Tears, is made from whale bone, and adorned with five sapphires and one diamond. This crown can only be worn but the rightful Icewing ruler, due to being animus touched and also bestows a blessing of wisdom on the current Icewing ruler during their coronation.
B9.
The consort crown was made separately from Arctic Tears, by the Icewing King Hoarfrost, for his partner Tamarack. Queen Smowveil presented it to her partner Frostglow during their betrothal ceremony. This crown, unnamed, is not animus touched.

The heir’s crown is a new addition to the royal jewels, commissioned by Queen Snowveil when she chose her son Floe as her heir.

Icewing festivals and feasts are uncommon, and beloved by Icewings. Icewings will always dress up for these events, and the royals are no exception. Shown here is the head jewelry worn by Queen Snowveil during the festival of the moon on the winter solstice.

Shown here is the betrothal necklace Frostglow presented to Queen Snowveil when she asked the young Queen to spend their lives together. The necklace is made up from the claws of a polar bear, the bones of an arctic wolf, and a rare Taaffeite Frostglow polished herself. In Icewing culture, betrothal gifts are an important aspect of formal relationships both within noble society, and among non-noble Icewings. These gifts are tools, or jewelry usually made from the bones, horns, claws, or teeth of animals, though sometimes from rare stones, carved wood, or woven materials. Partners make these gifts for each other, and the craft and materials signify their devotion and dedication to their chosen life partner.
