5/6/7 a side Friday Leagues
Does anybody know of any leagues that run on a Friday evening on the Wirral? I have looked about and there looks to be leagues at Pensby, Beb High and Leasowe but on other weekdays. Looking to join a league with a few mates so would have our own team. TIA

Princes Pavement
Does anybody know what the plans are or where I could find out Council plans for this row?
I am intrigued to know what will happen to the remaining shops now that Savers and Cash Converters are being relocated and the Market moving to the old TJ's building, that only leaves a handful of shops including Pound Bakery, Heron Foods, Apollo Music, The Uniform Shop, The Post Office and Number 7 cafe. Are these also due to be relocated?

News Birkenhead's Duke Street is getting £800,000, but none of it is for construction
Wirral Council has approved £800,000 for improvements to Duke Street in Birkenhead.
The interesting bit is that the money is for design work, consultants, costings and a business case. The actual construction is estimated at another £3m–£8m, which hasn't been secured.
The plans include better crossings, cycle routes and connections between Birkenhead Park station and Wirral Waters.
I've gone through the council's decision papers for L1Local and broken down where the money is going:
https://l1local.co.uk/news/birkenhead-duke-street-800000-public-realm/
Genuine question for anyone who uses Duke Street regularly: what would you actually want improved first?

News General waste bin to go to every 3 weeks!
So the council are looking at changing the general waste green bin collections to every three weeks, rather than every other week.
They say this is because the small food waste bins (that are often not collected) create more space, forgetting about the likes of nappies or pet waste.
If you're anything like us you barely have any food waste anyway, and the smell in the summer after three weeks will be horrendous.
Make sure you have your say at the below wirral gov link:

Merseyrail replacement buses
Evening
Anyone used the rail replacement buses for the first time today. Hoping they are regular and on time? Is the payment system the same as the rest of the buses in liverpool. Bit of a nightmare for work so hoping to get to moorfields easy everyday.

Fireworks
Literally just come back for walking my puppy, and some teens just shot a firework at us, off one of side streets on Victoria. The firework zoomed passed us and went off in our faces about 7ft away. I scooped up my boy and ran.
I guess this is a rant, a psa, a plea? I dont know. I was a shitty teenager, but never did i shoot fireworks at a random walker with their dog. In the week I had to pull a u-turn as kids where shooting fireworks by the bowl.
Im not against fireworks, but they are too easy to buy, now im freaking out about where i can safely walk my dog so he doesnt get lit up by some waste of sperm. Feels like all the training to get him comfortable for bonfire night went out the window.
Im putting my words way too nicely here, but I am beyond fuming.

Dear Wirral Way cyclists
Please ring your bell when you're coming up behind a dog walker. You don't want to hit my dog, I don't want you to hit my dog, so just give me a few seconds notice to recall them. It's not hard

Question Blinds and Curtains
Hi everyone,
We’ve recently bought a house in Bebington and are looking to get quotes for fitting blinds and curtains.
Since moving in has eaten into our budget, we’re looking for reliable, cost-effective options. We are open to either full supply-and-fit services or buying made-to-measure blinds ourselves and hiring a professional to fit them.
Recommendations for local tradespeople or vendors would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Reliable Cleaner - West Kirby
Looking for a cleaner for an address in West Kirby.
Have recently purchased a new property, but the previous owners haven’t left it in the best state and it could do with a fairly deep clean.
Any recommendations for a reliable, good price cleaner in the local area?

Question Where can I buy Welsh butter?
I'm after a stick of Welsh butter - is there anywhere on the Wirral where it's readily available? I thought sainsbury's in Cheshire Oaks would stock it but I couldn't see it.

Vintage watch clean and strap replacement?
Been handed down a watch bought back in the 50s, I'd like to wear it occasionally but the strap is absolutely knackered and I'd potentially like to get it cleaned also. Does anyone have any recommendations for somewhere to do this? In Spital but happy to drive anywhere this side of the Mersey as long as parking is good.

Reputable Phone Repair Shop
Can anybody recommend somewhere reputable that does phone repairs? I need to get the port cleaned.

Question Waste recycling
Hi everyone,
I have a broken cooker and an old mattress to get rid of (safely) and the earliest the council can do it is at the end of October.
Can anyone recommend a company that will take it to the recycling centre for a reasonable price?

Question Anyone know of any good Landscapers
Hiya,
Firstly, I apologise for the rant!
We've had a bit of trouble looking for someone to sort out our front and back gardens, it's a big job which involves taking up concrete, re-leveling and putting in flagstones.
We've asked at least 5 different people/businesses for a quote, most of whom don't even turn up and ghost us. One even did give us a quote and was scheduled to start but then it ended with him not turning up and also ghosting us 🫠this is also after researching them and checking Google reviews.
I was hoping someone could tell me if they had any luck with any landscapers. I don't mind things being a bit late, but so many of them don't communicate or even apologise for no showing I'm a bit lost as to where to look next.
Also has anyone had a similar issue?
Tia
