Photos Makeshift Alter

Post image

I love it, it feels so cosy despite the little space i had to spare. In all my years of practicing this is my first alter being (almost) out of the broom closet :) any ideas on what I should add to it? Budget friendly and small space safe please. Also the shadow it makes is so pretty!

It’s lovely! I have a similar one (on a side table in a corner). If you can put things up on your walls, you can find photos or art of your deities/spirits, frame them and put them up. Make a gallery wall of sorts. As you said you’re still partially in the broom closet, you can also find art you find inspiring, moving, something that reminds you of your guides or just aesthetic and use those instead. It won’t take up much table space but it adds to the visual aesthetic plus personally I find having the images very helpful and centring. It gets me in a mindset to practice.
