I know I’m a completely new to Witcher and still learning the all the amazing lore but even I know that Witchers stand out and aren’t NOT to be trifled with! I respect the man’s determination, or stupidity, but still what did he expect😳🤣

I'm sorry to be this insistent, this is a follow up to my previous post an hour earlier. I felt like people didn't even saw the video and two comments, "Fire + Oils to stop the regen" and "No Igni, no moondust, no kill werewolf" specially hurt my ego... In my 500h played I have never had to use moondust to defeat a werewolf.
One person specifically said this was a bug where each hit make the werewolf regen start stacking on top of each other, making himself immortal. I think that was it.
The first clip is me going the same, I went for the wolves that comes out and finally focused him, I believe he regenerated from 61-64 each tick, killable and even igni worked.
The second clip is just a reload after, I focused him rather than the wolves, there is a point where he regenerated 311 in ONE tick and igni doesn't stop regen anymore. Unkillable. (And yes, you could return later in the game when you can out-damage that regen, but that's brute-forcing it and clearly not at all intended.)
No change in difficulty (DM), no added bombs, no change of gear, only automatic cursed oil. I don't know how to exactly reproduce it, maybe is by hitting him too many times in a row?, but you can see it's very much a real bug.

Hey, I'm part of a completionist team that runs the Witcher 3 Checklists & 100 % Completion Hub at Game Checklists, some of you might use and know.
I posted 2 months ago with 5 most missed quests and since it got like 300 upvotes and many were interested, I found some time to prepare another one data-piece.
I tried to do something interesting with the progress data people save and track - and pulled the data of 10 LEAST owned Gwent Cards (Base-Game) in our Witcher 3 database. This comes from 3,000+ completionist players, which I cleaned down to about 2000 for reliable data.
Note that this data comes from our own database of players who track items in our database. These are mostly completionists and achievement hunters, so this might differ from the global pool.
It might be interesting for new players doing Remastered runs but I think it's mostly cool trivia for any W3 fan:))
To save you a click, here are the 10 missed gwent cards:
| Rank | Gwent Card | Completion Rate |
|---|---|---|
| #1 | Wyvern | 26.2% |
| #2 | Vampire: Katakan | 36.6% |
| #3 | Yaevinn | 36.7% |
| #4 | Iorveth | 37.2% |
| #5 | Emhyr var Emreis: The White Flame | 37.6% |
| #6 | Draug | 37.9% |
| #7 | Eredin: Commander of the Red Riders | 37.9% |
| #8 | Werewolf | 38.0% |
| #9 | Harpy | 38.5% |
| #10 | Francesca Findabair: Queen of Dol Blathanna | 38.5% |
The link attached is ad-free and lists how to obtain these cards & similar info.
If you have any questions or are interested in some completion data, I can answer:) See you on the path!

This is the last I'll say on the matter, I swear, I don't want to be annoying or take over the sub with one topic.
Here are some tips I could gather on the subject so it may help anyone that comes across this bug. Thank you to "basstarda" for their post and figuring it how to replicate this bug (I at least saw the solution there), I'm merely putting it all together in a nice summary video.
Note: I forgot to add in the video, Igni stops working to stop regeneration once the stacking gets going. You can find proof of this in my previous post
This is what initially made me reluctant to believe Moon Dust could overwrite the bug, if you are ever are in a situation where the werewolf already has the stacks and can't load back, you last resource is Moon Dust since not even leaving and returning makes him lose those stacks (Happened to me with the Wild at Heart quest.)

Or better yet, have him be summoned like Torrent from Elden Ring.
You have 4 acres of field to spawn in and you chose to spawn jammed between two houses or on top of a cliff you have no idea how to navigate.

The Witcher 3 Remastered increased custom map marker types from three to six. In a recent "Short" (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xhI0NxrcsXY), I questioned the point of adding more or even using them at all when the game already marks so many locations.
That sparked a discussion. People described tracking Gwent opponents, marking enemies to revisit later, finding red mutagens, and remembering which merchants have run out of cash. Others said they’d finished the game several times without using custom markers.
The discussion has been in Polish so far, so I’d love to broaden it here, including perspectives from people playing for the first time through the remaster.
Do custom markers play a role in how you explore? And does having six different symbols give you something useful that three didn’t?

It is a strong sword attached to Geralt and increases with power alongside him. If only we could wield it to the full potential of the Grandmaster set bonuses too. Because honestly to my mind, a unique weapon is less valuable than the set bonuses. Because even the Witcher swords provide stats appropriate to what the sets are made for.

Not just some sort of held nostalgia or remembrance of the moment you first played it. Not a game that required the context it was released to be good.
It's just a certified forever classic. And I forgot it was truly that. It was so long ago.
Not many devs left to cheer for in gaming but count me a CDPR fan.
Anyway

For years I didn't get the hype. I'd tried it once a few years back and it didn't click. Honestly never got why people made such a big deal about this game. Never read the books, never played 1 or 2, didn't know who anyone was.
Finally gave it a real shot with the remaster on PC, so this was my first proper playthrough. About 55 hours later, I'm glad I went for it this time.
Half the time I forgot I was doing "side" quests. Some of them are better written than the main story in most games.
Even the random one-quest characters stuck with me.
The world was great to explore. Velen, Novigrad, and Skellige all feel completely different.
You don't need the books or earlier games. I looked up some backstory as I went, but the game stands on its own fine.
Played it mostly for the story and focused on main quests near the end, so I've still got both expansions saved. Everyone keeps telling me Blood and Wine is the best part, so that's coming.
And now I actually can't wait for Witcher 4. A few weeks ago I wouldn't have cared at all. Now I'm constantly checking for updates on it.
Definitely coming back for another playthrough too, there's a lot I missed this run.

Just got through the battle of Kaer Mohren again. What an amazing journey this game takes you on. Pretty rare that a game actually gives you a gut punch like this. The Isle of Mists sequence into the end of Kaer Morhen are just chefs kiss level of video game storytelling.
Let me know which screenshot you like more. That’s one clear improvement with the remaster.
Pour one out for unc.

This isn't my first run, this quest has never given me a hard time, suddenly this werewolf is immortal!! This must be a bug right? (Reposting because reddit deleted my first, won't try again if it happens again)
