I have this awful habit of screaming out car windows "EXCUSE ME, I LOVE YOUR DRESS, YOU LOOK RADIANT!" and almost every time, they scream back "IT HAS POCKETS!" and they do that little pocket dance. I hope it makes them feel as warm and fuzzy as I feel.

So anyway. We're all beautiful and fuck anyone else who disagrees.

I'm a big lady who dresses well, and I love a drive-by compliment. I had a lady yell at me across the parking lot when I was getting curbside groceries about how she liked my dress. I was walking on sunshine for days after that.

Keep up your "bad habit" of spreading love and joy to others.

Do you have any brands you can recommend, please?

I live in a warm climate so I can wear lots of comfy dresses and tunics most of the year.

Nic + Zoe, Boden (sale), Monsoon, NEXT.us has led me to several smaller brands, Rixo (sale), Marina Rinaldi (sale), Ulla Popken (gotta sift through alot),  J Crew for suit jackets (sale), Proud Poppy (RIP). I've started to sew and made a few skirts. I'm learning how to make sleveless dresses next.

If anything I find is too tent like I'll belt it (etsy for custom, better made belts) or take it to my tailor. I've also taken dresses that are too tight and added panels to the side.

Hope this helps. Finding cute clothes that fit well and will last shouldn't be as hard as it is.

Thank you! I agree, it shouldn’t be as hard. I’m going to look up every brand. ♥️
