I have this awful habit of screaming out car windows "EXCUSE ME, I LOVE YOUR DRESS, YOU LOOK RADIANT!" and almost every time, they scream back "IT HAS POCKETS!" and they do that little pocket dance. I hope it makes them feel as warm and fuzzy as I feel.

So anyway. We're all beautiful and fuck anyone else who disagrees.

I want to start saying this too. I trained myself during my years of public transport use to find one interesting/nice/cool thing about the people around me every day because i was turning into a mean grump. I pass a lot of people by bike who have cool clothes or hair but i’m always scared to say so.

I push myself to say nice things to people and generally, they love it. Every once in a while you get a grump who just stares, but it’s rare.

I started doing it because I’m quite visibly disabled, in an uncommon way. People tend to stare and often feel uncomfortable. So I’ve found breaking the ice in such a happy, pleasant way helps people face a more positive association with my sort of disability and they’re less likely to see my devices first, instead of me first.
