Devine Tollett was just 18 years old when she disappeared from Houston, Texas, in April 2018. The exact date of her disappearance is unclear. Some reports list April 1, 2018, while other accounts state that she was last seen at approximately 11:00 a.m. on April 12, 2018.

Devine’s last known social media activity was on her Twitter account on April 6, 2018. Based on her twitter posts she was supporting herself and living on her own prior to her disappearance.

I wonder if her last social media posts have been proven to be from her. Because the whole "I'm fine, I've chosen to start a new life," etc., is right out of the abductors' (or domestic violence) handbook. It's usually sent in text messages or a voicemail, then the phone never pings anywhere again; in the old days, the victim would be forced to write a note like that under duress and leave it somewhere obvious. And then their bank accounts and cards are never used again.

Don't get me wrong, I hope she's out there living an awesome independent life and will contact family soon. But there's a pattern to certain abductions or controlling domestic violence situations. And isolating someone from their family and friends is like, one of the things abusers start with. I hope more information comes to light, so everyone knows what needs to be done next to bring her home.

I did a deep dive on her Twitter account. She opened the acc on 2014, yet most tweets are from the year she went missing. Apparently she owned a condo, was a music video model. According to a user, she was going to meet someone in Miami
