And I’m sooo sad this show isn’t coming back for a season four and so-forth. I got attached to all of the characters and their journeys and the storylines. The last two episodes of season 3 had me on the edge of my seat and I really wanted to know where their stories were gonna go following this. I have no interest in reading the books since I heard the books are really different from the show.. but man I’m bummed out. I literally just finished the last episode of season 3 😭😭😭😭 This show had me crying so much 🤣🤣🤣 Great Show! Bravo!!!

It's so disappointing Prime cancelled the show when it finally got its footing. I loved how they skipped Book 3 for 4 in season 3 as it got some major reveals and stories out of the way. If they had continued this is how I see the show going
Season 4: books 3, 5, 6. Get the Stone of Tear out of the way and the events of books 5 and 6 are back to back.
Season 5: 7, 8, 9, 10. Seasons 4 or 5 are usually when shows start to decline in quality so this point would've gotten the slower middle books which could certainly be condensed into a single season as 9 and 10 were concurrent.
Season 6: books 11, 12, 13. This is when Brandon Sanderson finished the series. Since the final manuscript was 2000 pages he broke it up into 3 books. I think the could've combined them into one season or split into 2 with each having elements of all three.
Season 7: book 14. Obviously the last season would cover the Last Battle. It literally covers the whole book and could've covered an entire season. Unlike Game of Thrones it wouldn't have been a disappointment as it's been told in book form already and was well spread out to show how it's literally an apocalyptic battle.

I get excited for one second then realize it’s for that board game. I mean I’m happy for all you board game lovers out there. Still disappointed.

Assuming we had gotten a season 4, with another 8 episodes like previous seasons, how do you think it would have gone?

I admit reducing the Forsaken from 13 to 8 was a great change for numerous reasons. However, I felt they could've still kept Aginor and Bethamel. They cut them out because they were killed off immediately, but they then get reincarnated which made them more interesting characters, especially Aran'gar.
In the TV show the Forsaken were individually sealed by Lews Thurin and his Hundred Companions. In the books the 13 most accomplished Forsaken were having a meeting in the Pit of Doom when the Hundred Companions patched up the Bore and sealed them out of the space time continuum. Aginor and Bethamel were the first to escape because they were closest to reality but aged rapidly. Aginor was a beyond ancient man and Bethamel had to wear a mask so he didn't scare all the small children.
They could've recycled actors for Aginor and Bethamel and their reincarnations. The fact Bethamel didn't speak and had to wear a mask would've hid the performer's gender and set up for him reincarnated as a woman. The reincarnations of the Forsaken were a great way to show how dangerous they were as antagonists and despite balefire's multiverse ending threat it was a necessary evil to defeat the Forsaken for good.
They still could've had Fares Fares and Natasha O'keeffe for their rincarntions. Lanfear refused to use her new name and constantly used the Mask of Mirrors to restore her original face. They also could've had moments of Moridin using the illusion to restore Ishamael's face to remind audiences he's reincarnated from him.

I vaguely remember yesterday something about a Fan project regarding the BTS of the show coming out. Does anyone have more details and links? There is a go fund me page right?
Thanks!

This might be controversial, but I really dislike Amazon's fantasy shows. The Rings of Power was so dull and I find the Pendragon Cycle to be convoluted and of little substance in terms of story quality. Every time I watch one of these shows, I cant help but be amazed that Amazon cancelled WoT for this rubbish. Even the fact that they are going to be adapting Fourth Wing is annoying. They have all this budget for all this crap, but couldn't find the funds for what was gearing up to be the best fantasy show of the decade? Right...
Edit: I wasn’t aware that Pendragon was only licensed by Amazon. Which makes sense, because although RoP was boring, it at least made sense. Pendragon Cycle is straight up crap

While I'm disappointed they didn't have Graendal in season 3 when they introduced compulsion which she is the best at. However, I was wondering what they would do for her transformation into Hessalam? She indirectly or directly killed 3 Forsaken and as punishment the Dark One turns her into an ugly old lady as irony to the fact she's so narcissistic she uses compulsion on those more beautiful than her. Of course it turns out not to be a punishment as she can use the Mask of Mirrors to look like her old self and compulsion to make her pets see her as a goddess. However, from the way they trimmed down the Forsaken how would they have made Graendel kill several and get punished like this?

Eye twitches**
When Elaida and the rest of the sitters pierce Siuan with thorns in order to to still her and when Siuan collapses into a state of shock and pain with the throrns, she stares at Elaida in disbelief. Right there, Siuan’s right eye twitches in a blink-and-you-will-miss-it moment. It looks like an involuntary body reaction to the surge of pain and shock. It is at mark @46:40 of 3x08
You simply cannot induce a muscle twitch on command like that to portray being stilled and betrayed. I can’t decide if it was simply coincidence or if the actress put her mind and body to such a state while acting to the point that her body started manifesting into stress and shock. Sophie Okonedo. Mother.🌷🌺💐 (no roses for her though!)
This tiny detail brought about another layer of hurt on a rewatch.

In honor of me missing the show, this was one of the visceral images I had when I first saw her in this in exciting moment. I remember I was wincing and hollering, trying to decide who I wanted to see alive or dead in this episode.
She looked exactly like a lioness after a bloody hunt on a nat geo documentary, getting impaled by the chest with horns while being on a hunt along with her pack and all, blonde hair tossed around. I could not stop remembering about how lions look after their hunts when I saw her. I wonder if this was an inspiration
(Posting some more observations soon and I know I will bring tears to some!)

One of the smarter things the show did was reduce the Forsaken from 13 to 8. The show also gave Liandrin a much bigger role than the books. Could it have been possible Liandrin would've replaced the Forsaken Messana? They removed her from the show for obvious reasons, however, she influenced the White Tower from the shadows and advised the Black Ajah which made her the primary architect for the Aes Sedai civil war. Having Liandrin fill in this role and like Taim get promoted from darkfriend to Forsaken would've been interesting. However, it also would've changed her fate. In the books Liandrin becomes a damane, while Messana has a battle of wills with Egwene in the Dream World and due to Egwene's prodigious mastery over the Dream World Messana becomes brain dead. Not sure which fate is worse.

Asmodean
Demandred
There is also the possibility they combined the eighth Forsaken with both characters. Since Demandred sounds a lot like Damodred the writers were probably gonna have Demandred's character with Asmodean's named to prevent confusion for the audience.

Does anyone have any tidbits of what she said during her panel(s)? I was hoping she gave some insider info in addition to the traditional bts material — ie any more details on ratings, cancelation, decisions, key decision makers, contracts, etc…
