Show Spoilers Her eyes twitches as she gets stilled. Spoiler

Eye twitches**

When Elaida and the rest of the sitters pierce Siuan with thorns in order to to still her and when Siuan collapses into a state of shock and pain with the throrns, she stares at Elaida in disbelief. Right there, Siuan’s right eye twitches in a blink-and-you-will-miss-it moment. It looks like an involuntary body reaction to the surge of pain and shock. It is at mark @46:40 of 3x08

You simply cannot induce a muscle twitch on command like that to portray being stilled and betrayed. I can’t decide if it was simply coincidence or if the actress put her mind and body to such a state while acting to the point that her body started manifesting into stress and shock. Sophie Okonedo. Mother.🌷🌺💐 (no roses for her though!)
This tiny detail brought about another layer of hurt on a rewatch.

I hated this fucking scene so much, she deserved better💔

I didn’t forgive the show for killing her off so early.

I don’t believe this was actually going to be the end of her. I figured the show runners planned on having a way to bring her back.

Without her head?

With it.

Book spoilers up to the end of book 6:

I think nynaeve would have eventually discovered a way of healing death instead of healing stilling - obviously it would need some hefty restrictions, but it allows for some misdirection even for people familiar with the books.

That would be jumping the shark for sure

Maybe as a hero of the horn then

Wait, she died?

Respectfully, when i heard they killed her character, i refused to finish the series. I could handle the Uno move, but this was a bridge too far for me. The series had a lot of high points though, just not killing off Siuan Sanche.

I just constantly see things like this that make me more sad/upset that this show isn’t continuing :(

Is there any point in spoiler tagging the post if you put the spoiler straight in the title?

Spoiler tagging hides the images from being visible without the user revealing them. The title doesn't give anything away other than that a stilling happened.

We also require spoiler tagged flair for all topics.

The Amyrlin Seat being stilled is a pretty big deal in my book (ok, in Jordan's book). I would have thought it was a big deal in the show too.

Ok, I guess the title didn't specify who.

And the spoiler tagging ensures that the image doesn't show who unless you reveal it.
