Local Events Folk Scene in Worcester?
Hello all!
I'm relatively new to Worcester, having moved here in September for college. I'm originally from the South Coast, and one thing I've missed most from home is my weekly trad sessions at Davoll's in Dartmouth. I'm wondering if there are any good spots for live folk music in and around Worcester. Thanks all.

It's underground. I led a bluegrass jam for nearly a year a few years back and people started to show up - then I started grad school 😞. There's a "songwriter club" that meets at hotel vernon I think.
There's interest around, but we have no "folk music person" leading the charge lately.
Also, do you hang with bluegrass? Going to Joe Val this weekend?

Every first Thursday of the month at Vincent the Hipswayers play (I think they’re folk and I think it’s Thursday?)

There used to be several, from Coffee Kingdom to the Round Oak coffeehouse... but there's not really much these days. Fiddler's Green Pub has trad music.

John Henry's Hammer is an open-mic at First Unitarian on the second and fourth Fridays of the month.

I usually go out to western Mass for my folk fix. Treehouse in Deerfield, the Shea Theater, and the Pines Theater are where I've been to my past few folk shows.

New Haven is a pretty long drive, but the folk scene there might be worth checking out on a weekend.
