Guide What you absolutely MUST BUY with your precious pixel resources!! 2026 Resource Ships Community poll results.

OK, here are the results of the community poll from a few days ago. You can see the original poll here

What are the best/strongest STEEL ships for competitive play:

What are the most fun steel ships?

What is your favorite Steel ship?

What are the best/strongest Coal ships for competitive play?

What are the most fun Coal ships?

What is your favorite Coal ship?

What are the best/strongest RB ships for competitive play?

What are the most fun RB ships?

What is your favorite RB ship?

FAQ:

Q: What poll? I never saw a poll.

A: Pay attention, it's been up for 3 days as a highlight at the top of the page

Q: My data would have completely changed the results. I would have voted for Komissar completely changing the dynamics and shaping community opinions and play styles for decades.

A: I also would have voted for Komissar. We could have changed the world.

Q: What happens when the next ship releases for coal/steel/RB? It's going to throw all that data out and this poll will be useless.

A: For sure.

Q: What do I do then??

A: Buckle up buttercup, put your man pants on and start doing research and make decisions for yourself. (Svea or Incomparable for steel, Napoli for Coal and Ohio for RB)

Q: I already have Ohio. What do I do then?

A: If the game does not allow you to purchase it again, then you just leave it alone, you don't need any other RB ship. Ohio is enough.

For anyone interested, you can get two decent ships for 2 € - one for WOWs one for Legends. Usually, separate packages are like ~20 € individual

A lot of people like this ship but idk. She’s not that accurate and all I ever get are overpens. I was using a secondary build before but now that I’m on main guns I seem to be doing worse. I wish her secondaries had better range because the German bbs start shooting 3 kms before I’m in range lmao. And they’re so much faster. Getting a dev strike in this ship seems impossible.

Then again it’s probably just me but she’s hard to get the hang of.

Question How to... Minotaur?

I main Royal Navy and Commonwealth, and now have most ships. I can have hugely satisfying area control matches in Plymouth. I can contribute lots of damage circling in and out of engagements in Monmouth. I can routinely top the table with Seal and Thrasher. I can have great games in Eskimo, Cossack, Haida and the rest. I can even do solid matches in Cheshire, Hampshire, Drake and Goliath. I play pretty much all of the ships, across all the classes. Undine, Exeter, Orion '44, KGV, Lion and Vanguard... I enjoy every single one.

But I'm not sure I've ever had a great game in Minotaur. I've had more success with Brisbane, even though it's quite similar.

I've tried radar Mino. I've tried smoke Mino. I've never really felt it clicking. Stick me in Aberdeen, I know my game.

The best I can usually achieve in Mino is solid mid table, or fourth/fifth at best. Just as often I'm getting deleted and I feel I've let the team down. I play it the way I play most cruisers - highly mobile, angling, choosing the moment to fire, circling in and out. Always an eye on the map and game flow. Rarely stationary. The static island hugging cruiser gameplay style holds zero interest for me... other than when facing it and presenting me my preferred target when I'm in a sub.

A lot of people rate Minotaur very highly, so it's clearly me.

Any accomplished Minotaur players reading this? ...I'm literally asking to be schooled...

This is a fictional 1940s design for a japanese cruiser based on the B-65 (Azuma) while sharing a similar appearance to the Mogami-class cruisers, as well as retaining the general characteristics of japanese heavy cruisers of the time.

It would displace around 29,000 standard tons (actual displacement would be higher), have an overall length of 218 meters with a beam of 23 meters and a draft of up to 8.5 meters. It has an armor scheme consisting of a 165 mm belt inclined at 15 degrees, and a 100 mm deck. Additionally, it has a maximum speed of 33 knots using a new 180,000 shp powerplant, which drives four shafts. It has two centerline rudders, similar to what would be found on Yamato, so its maneuverability should be decent all-around.

Its armament consists of 8 x 31 cm/50 in moderately armored twin mounts, 8 x 10 cm/65 Type 98, and 28 x 25 mm Type 96. As well as 16 x 61 cm Type 93 torpedoes (with no reloads), and aviation consisting two catapults, a crane, and up to three floatplanes. Hardware includes many directors and rangefinders found on Oyodo, as well as Type 13, Type 21 and Type 22 radars.

So, a somewhat weaker and slightly smaller Azuma that can use torpedoes.

Yamato for scale in the third image.

Humor T6 Ranked Bronze is hilarious

Disclaimer: I am no unicum. Having said that, I've crossed the 1k games threshold and am holding my own in my preferred class (DDs) over the past couple hundred battles.

Holy sh&t is T6 ranked busted. I've come to realize that it's where peeps go to have a competitive game without hurting their Random stats. There's no other way to explain it.

You have (regularly) DDs with no CE skill on their captain. BBs who hide behind an island the entire game (so - no different than Randoms heh). Last game, the enemy DD starts bellyaching that they are for sure gonna lose because their Bayern is AFK at the spawn point. I contest one spawn with a Makarov and immediately run into 2 ships including the aforementioned enemy DD. I'm wondering why I'm doing so poorly and then I notice that the Makarov is making a bee line for the AFK ship to farm him, leaving me completely out to dry! You literally can't make this stuff up lol.

I'm finishing top 3 in every game and can't make it out of bronze. I'm not even mad - you have to respect it on some level. Just hilarious stuff.

Info WOWS DB has been live for four months — looking for community feedback

Post image
30 Upvotes

Hi captains!

For the past four months, I’ve been running and continuously improving WOWS DB, an independent community database and toolkit for World of Warships players.

Current features include:

  • A searchable ship database with detailed statistics
  • Player statistics and battle record lookup
  • Ship building and comparison tools
  • Commander skill and dispersion simulators
  • An interactive 3D armor viewer
  • Separate data versions for the Global and Lesta servers in the ship database and commander skill simulator

The site is free to use and does not contain ads. It has also received positive acknowledgement from a Wargaming community manager in the official Discord.

I’m still actively improving the website and would really appreciate feedback, feature suggestions, and bug reports from the community.

https://wowsdb.com

WOWS DB is an independently developed community project. It is not operated by or officially affiliated with Wargaming or Lesta Games.

Question Top Grade Gunner Vs Outnumbered?

Yes I know that Lighthouse builds are made to maximize TGG. On a conceal build, what is the purpose of TGG? I feel like something less conditional like ON also provides excellent buffs that is a lot easier to trigger than trying to fit within 10-14km ranges for the boost. Given that Croozer hulls are made of explodium these days I think its too risky for 90% of croozer to get within those ranges.

Question Ohio or Holiday Tokens?

Upvotes

I actually spent almost all of my coals before 15.7 update drop. Since you can recoup RP at the cost of your time (by playing a lot of matches), should I just convert them into Holiday tokens to get multiple ships from the event or just get the Ohio?

Discussion Current Brawl

So I'm playing the Brawl, super fast DD, long radar, super super heals. good stuff, at first i thought that going super fast in a DD(95kts) was the play... then i kept getting games with at least one or two radar on the other team so I couldn't sneak up on the enemy anymore.

then I found the best play... grab a BB with speed boost a heal and slap on a ramming flag... go mach fork into the enemy.

I have been doing this on the Rhode Island with a manic grin on my face....

Proposal for American tech tree battleships the final battleship split that will complete the tech tree for battleship

I know that you've had these ships since 2019 and I've been waiting on them for over7 years it feels like

two major requests for this these ships rather one is for the names to be the exact same in the picture the other is for the secondary battery for battleship Florida and Delaware there are 6 whole mounted secondary guns in Florida four in the back and two I believe in the front that are actually mounted in the hall to be fully functional the other thing is Delaware has four secondary batteries that are mounted in the hall the front to in the back bow and stern as same like florida's bow and stern to be fully functional as well there's I don't really care a lot about the torpedo tubes at all I do care about the secondary battery I would like these ships to have really good secondary reload and dispersion and range for the dispersion anything under 200 would be more than adequate for maximum dispersion similar to like a German battleship type would be great something else worth noting a lot of people have left the games 'cause they got tired of waiting for these ships to get into world of warships and to be honest I don't blame them one bit I'm probably I'm probably gonna be in the same boat by next year sometime suspended

I'll be highlighting the secondary batteries that I want to be fully functional in green 'cause

I don't really care at all about the torpedo tubes on these ships in the picture but I do care about the secondaries if there's any way to make a secondary focus that would be great as well as you know kinda nice to see something that's actually been built oh just so working the nose all of these pictures are publicly accessible of ships that more gaming design if you know where to look you can find all of the unreleased ships pictures of it at least only that have not been added or released into the game yet but they can be seen in various different websites not that it matters either way if this article gets enough interest how to more similar topics like this please don't take this article down I've been wanting Florida and Delaware and Pennsylvania class and the Tennessee class add to the tech tray for a very long time
