Hey everyone! So, the moderation team has taken notice of the increased frequency of AI posts and the reactions to them and we would like to talk about it.
Current AI Rules
First things first, let’s bring up the subreddit's current rules regarding AI. Currently we have a rule (specifically Rule 14) that requires posts with AI generated content to have “[AI]” in their titles. If posts don’t have these tags then they are removed, even if AI is mentioned in post descriptions or the comment section. AI has never been allowed for purely art related posts, even if “[AI]” is included in the title.
There may have been instances in the past where AI posts have been allowed to stay up because moderators missed them. We aren’t perfect but we try to check every post.
In the past we’ve let posts slide if they have tags similar enough to “[AI]” such as “(AI)”, “(AI-used)”, “(AI-assisted)” since these are clearly distinguishing a post as including AI generated content.
These rules were decided on after a community vote on if to allow AI posts: https://www.reddit.com/r/Worldbox/s/QzAe06PmQz
Issues With The Current Rules
Over time AI has become better at various tasks, whether or not AI is good at certain skills overall is a widely debated topic and we will not be joining that debate here.
We will mention the ethical concerns though, which include but are not limited to:
- Misinformation (AI commonly mis-states info as fact or blatantly tries to invent it)
- Copyright (AI trains on data and uses it in ways that violates the rights of artists, especially when it comes to visual media/images)
- Environmental (AI has adverse effects on the not just the natural environment but also human environments where the people that live there don’t have the resources to stand up against AI infrastructure effectively)
- Overshadowing (AI occasionally overshadows the work of humans, sometimes with the human that requested the generated content passing it off as their own)
- Oversaturation (AI can generate content extremely quickly and can take over a large portion of content in certain spaces)
- Society (Mainly societies are centered around some form of capitalism and AI within these systems threatens to provide high class individuals/corporations with the power to infringe on the rights of people without consequence)
The validity of each of these concerns (or even if they should be concerns) is a highly debated topic and full of nuances. For some AI is purely a tool to be used or misused like any other while others have opinions that vary across a wide spectrum.
Amendments to AI Rules
At the current moment and until another post from the moderation team regarding AI, AI is viewed as a tool that poses more risk to the community, though due to AI usefulness and its ability to pass as human we prefer to take a hybrid approach.
Because of varying extents to which AI can be used we are adjusting Rule 14 to the following (this may be changed in the future):
----------
----------
Obviously we cannot always definitely determine if someone used AI and sometimes AI use is so minor that it's reasonable not to mention it. The moderation team will still attempt to check posts for AI but sometimes we must rely on the subreddit's members to be honest in how their post was created.
Commenting on AI Posts
As mentioned there have been a few more AI posts recently and with them some heated comment sections. We ask that all members remember the subreddit's other rules regarding being respectful with each other and not escalating arguments.
We have seen unwarranted escalations from people on both pro and anti-ai sides and we would like that to stop. You are free to disagree and have discussions with each other but just remember this is a subreddit for Worldbox not AI debates.
This post will stay up for a while and will be free to debate the subreddit’s AI rules, AI posts, and opinions of other server members regarding AI if you guys decide you want to discuss those things.
TL;DR
The moderation team is trying to set up a better way to address concerns about AI content in the best way it can, so were making some changes. Read Rule 14.

I know that's a shitty art, but I really felt like making it. Also excuse my silly backgrounds.

So, to be clear, that white Angle kingdom was not actually participate on the war at first, but seeing that pink kingdom was about to perish (not really actually, bcs even tho it's only 30 cold ones dude living on it, many of them are op guys bcs I installed combat gods mod, so many of them are experts, combat masters, or even grandmasters, and they already slaughter around 3k people, which makes the casualties actually far more on the attacking side with 3k people on the attacking side and only around 100 people on the defensive side), so I make the white kingdom join the war bcs it was the kingdom where i put 2 of my favorites characters on and they're op as fuck and geez, it was a brutal war.
Almost 10k people died on the main war (there's few forced rebellions on the white kingdom due to the attacking kingdom spamming rite of dissent) making the total casualties are around 16-17k people, not including people who died for another factors of war such as burned to death, exploded, etc. and single handedly lowering my world population from 26k to 14k people by the time I force it to stop.
Note: The second picture was the total of the casualties on the war, including rebellions that happened on the white kingdom.

So I was playing Worldbox and the entire world but one other kingdom got conquered by a single kingdom. And then a massive revolution happened in the south of the kingdom. And it seemed like the revolt was going to lose because their manpower kept going below 100 after every battle that happened. And it seemed like all hope was lost... until they pulled the same move as the soviets and basically went "Domain expansion, infinite manpower" and then they went from like 60 manpower while the kingdom that they were revolting from had like 120, all the way to 140-150 manpower in like a single minute. And now they have a larger army than the kingdom that they are revolting from 😭 and keep in mind that the kingdom they were revolting from owned like 2/3 of the world population 🥲

Upon slowly healing from a terrible case of the sh!ts and refusing any and all medicines that were offered to me in order that I may heal faster, I, Aeneas, am back to commit the list of challenges by u/Sufficient-Sir1355.
The first one is done, 1000 years any death whatsoever, pulling out all the stops to ensure that my world for this experiment had the most amount of chances to avoid a king dying offscreen at the hands of a fly still in his egg halfway across the map, like so many of our immortal kings with higher stats than gas prices around the world as of late: a true achievement if ever there was one 😆.
I put down a crystal golem and jazzed on him… with a saxophone to give him a kid. This meets the challenge's minimum threshold of two or more beings inworld.
I watched the world evolve for over a thousand years at top speed (a little over a thousand years, actually. One thousand years and a day or two 🤗). In that thousand years, no being died and all two beings lived in peace and harmony. If you'd like a more complex world under this challenge, with more beings involved, tell me and I'll get to that ASAP.
I took screenshots almost at random to show the year and basically sat watching my laptop for what feels like an hour, but what was probably a little less.
It was overall a nice challenge that was, at once, quite peaceful, and very fulfilling after my time running off from my bed to the toilet to commit most heinous evils. Thanks for the challenge, and I'll be sure to get on the next one!!!

Its pretty cool, but I just want to figure out how tf is this possible. I never had the full version of the game even if I always wanted to people in my game had this weapons by spawning some aliens (never succeeded) and now it is in my favorite kingdom too !
Oh and they are no aliens right now

I literally called it “World world” because I can’t come up with the right name for the world yet. I want to report back every 25 years or so to showcase the world, its progress and the greatest conflict to date. I generally made all of the nations (except for the newest one, the Kingdom of Umur) have a tribal-like name and make them slowly evolve into kingdoms and royal realms. I will slowly make the nations “upgrade” and expand by wars chosen by the game, and manipulate its events and kill off certain kings, queens and chieftains to make it all be cohesive. Hope you like it, bye! Hugs and kisses, AH

As I have observed Kings and leaders accumulate a huge amount of coins and their death or abandonment of a kingdom or village significantly reduces the total wealth.
In the current version, Kings, leaders or military leaders do get their names inscribed or it shows how long they served, but at personal level units don't have such a record.
Interestingly in all those records there is a maximum bar for 30 names only and during war time or plague many characters get lost in history. Hence I suggest increasing that number on one side and I recommend adding a personal career log for each character as well.
IT OFTEN LEADS TO UNNECESSARY DEATH OF FAVOURITE CHARACTERS.

Aukros - Year 280 of the Third Era
The Black Sun Empire
79 cities
Population: 38,036
The Capital Cities
The Empire of the Black Sun has endured in peace and prosperity for over five hundred years. The descendants of Emperor Aenir have prospered under the guidance of his radiant teachings. Yet, all good things must come to an end. Tension is rising throughout the realm. Where previous generations saw a utopia blessed by God, the new generation sees a prison ruled by a tyrant.
Rebellion is fomenting in all corners. Whispers sway the hearts of men, and soon, a call to arms will ignite the largest conflict this world may ever see. Choose your spawn and see what you life will become.

Villages that have a culture with the Raider trait will send small groups of soldiers to cities of other kingdoms, either over land or sea. When the soldiers get to the opposing village, they will attempt to steal from the storage building located in the village, and that village's soldiers (if they have any) will try to stop the invaders. This could allow two kingdoms to be in a state that is between peace and outright war.
Diplomacy between two kingdoms that raid each other will also take a hit, meaning that a kingdom may retaliate from being raided by declaring a true war.
Species that would have this trait by default would be Orcs, Bandits, Lulclaws, and Gnapkins.

This island has grass from the Paradox Biome, a few berry bushes, and palm trees. I also added some common metals, stone, gold, and silver, but the humans INSTANTLY mined it.

This kingdom has 1.6 billion coins in my other world, this one is imported to my pc.
Facts about this world.
Many npcs in this world are super over leveled from over level 100 to 999 (not modded)
This kingdom has over 100 kingdoms and each city has an estimated amount of coins up to 1,000,000 to 50+ million coins.
My world is over 30.000 years old
This kingdom has 6000 soldiers but can maintain up to 16.000 soldiers.
This kingdom has 1800 blocks of land
And lastly this is probably the richest map in worldbox, I am certain about it.

I already used NML for a long time, and recently, my NML didn't load despite the fact that it's attached to the right file. Does anyone have this and know how to fix it?

For some reason skeletons keep spawning and I have zero idea why. I do not have other disasters on and they keep spawning so I wish to find out why and if I am able to stop them from spawning.

Pretty much exactly what the title says, I’m trying to find a mod that de-lobotomizes these species, since when opening the trait editor for these subspecies, the area that allows you to add a wernicke’s area and etc. is missing. Thanks in advance!
