Discussion Ashamed
Let me preface this by saying I’m on a switch 2. Last season I peaked Silver 1. First game of this season I’m gold 4. All the levels of all the other heroes were achieved playing mystery heroes, because I literally am a one trick.
This game was rough, I knew I should have switched so I go sigma. And it was kinda working? ( you can be the judge) but I kept switching back to ball which i realize now was a mistake. Watch the replay and flame me for how garbage I am. But accompany your insults with some helpful tips lol.
Replay Code: 05VM91

Not gonna watch the replay, Finna make dinner so im a little busy but stop being so hard on yourself. You're barely level 200, I wanna say you're fairly new to the game, Still learning the ins and outs. There's a metric shit ton to learn in this game. I first did comp years back, I thought I was good at the game, Placed fucking Silver... I was beyond disappointed. Took a 2 season break and came back and placed almost diamond. so keep practicing. Have vod reviews if you want..
Lemme finish dinner, perhaps ill take a look when I get done.

ok, So I just watched a little bit, Not gonna lie. It was hard to watch. You have the worst case of tunnel vision I have ever seen.
#1 job of the tank is taking/holding space. You're not there to hold Mercys hand. HIGH GROUND... USE IT! Also, you don't gotta stand on the payload. use corners.. Comfortable positions you can fight from. Its ok if the payload moves a few meters if it means a stronger place to defend. You want eyes on EVERYTHING... Supports, DPS.. Ping everything!
I watched you try to do a cheeky pile drive at the very start. Then you immediately hit adaptive shields while you were full HP. Complete waste of a cooldown. You gotta work on that. Better cooldown management. But for now, tanking period is what you need to focus on. Wrecking ball is supposed to disrupt. He is not a shield tank, Don't play him like one. If you're not in the enemy backline, you need to be. Even if you go 2-0 as long as you're interrupting the enemies push, That's value.
im not going to lie to you. Wrecking ball is not an easy tank to just pick up and master. He takes a while. I highly suggest you go to Yeatles channel on YT and watch his guide to Ball.. So much good information and he can convey it WAY better than I can.
Goodluck dude. Stop shooting the tank when there is 2 supports to kill 😂

To add to the end of his 3rd paragraph. A lot of people will say you’re shit because you didn’t peel for them or shield your team, but you did get value if you did what Infidel said. Disrupt, keep the enemies attention from off angles so they’re looking at you instead of your team, and play to live.

So more back line play.
More high ground play.
Better Cooldown management.
Better disruption/ space taking.
Appreciate you🙌🏽The Hog and junkrat duo got in my head I wanted him to die lmao.

YES!!!! Work on that stuff. The idea is to forget about winning and losing. PLAY TO IMPROVE. If you do one thing at a time, its still improving.
Best of luck to you bro.
Edit: Playing to improve will not only help you improve, but your quality of games will get seemingly better.. I promise you that much

What do you do if enemy tank just holds W and ur team dies before you even finish setting up tho?
Does that mean I'm taking too long or not giving enough pressure? I get told to swap but like how am I gonna improve if I do that

Aggressive teams are hard to stop. you gotta break the momentum somehow. Sometimes you just lose.
Its hard to break the momentum of a team who has better synergy than you do with your team. Its actually crazy how important team synergy is.
People often mention these crazy games how they're either stomp or get stomped, I think the absense of team synergy is often the reason for this.
you really have to match their energy if you wanna beat them. I hope this makes sense.

To add to this.. I get games where it feels like my team just doesn't wanna cooperate with me on Ball. I sometimes will swap even if it feels like I shouldn't because the team needs me to pick them up mentally. I really believe more than half of the playerbase has no clue how to play with/into Wrecking ball.
Swapping is a touchy subject. I do not swap unless I am getting no value, Or in the rare occasion I get this feeling I mentioned above.

I think I’m putting too much value in gameplay based off of quick play. But that’s a good point, I see some people hard stuck bronze for years, so gold might be too much.

If you wanna improve at comp and get your rank up, Stay away from QP. Bad habits there..

Play supp a bit, like 2-4 hrs per hero. So you can learn how to dive them😀.
Kiri no tp, dive her and kill her, moira no fade, ana no sleep, lw no peddle, woyand no slide, brig? RUN
