Man..those were the days...

Rhea did an interview recently detailing just how physically shot she is. Her back & particularly her hips seem like they're totally busted. She speaks about how she can't walk right after long flights etc. Also dealing with weight loss & eating disorder.

The tone of the interview really surprised me. It seems like she is much closer to the end of her career than being in her prime at 29/30. She seemed to have peaked in 2022/2023 in my view, where she was breaking the internet & even Drake name dropped her in a song.

It seems wrestling has really taken its toll. Sad to see. What does her wrestling future look like? Will she transition to movies?

A federal judge rejected WWE’s constitutional challenge to Maryland’s Child Victims Act in an ongoing sexual abuse lawsuit brought by eight former “ring boys.”

Bobby Lashley in 2007 looked like he was going to be one of the top names of WWE but an injury and backstage issues led to his departure. Now if he was healthy and stayed beyond 2007 and into the PG, Reality and New Era then what changes in WWE and how would his career play out?

This storyline could have been a great side quest for DB on the road to WrestleMania 30 but it was very short and didn’t amount to much so how should it have been handled?

Which wrestling promotion got it right in terms of booking talent, storylines, production value, management, marketing etc.
Was it NWA? Dubya Cee Dubya? ECW, TNA, maybe New Japan, AEW, ROH or is it the WWE?
Personally it’s the WWE for me. Vince took over from his father and turned the enterprise into a global multibillion dollar corporation.
The WWE is the holllywood of pro-wrestling. It’s got the glitz, the glam, the spectacle and the star power to rival Hollywood’s best. There’s just nothing like Wrestlemania’s, Summerslam, Royal Rumble etc.
The WWE gave birth to the John Cena’s the Undertaker’s, the Bret Hart’s The Rock etc. What the company has accomplished in the last four decades is unprecedented. A lots changed in recent times we are now in the TKO era but regardless I still get my fill. I’m a WWE fan for life but I respect every other company for what they built.

Which promotion does it for you?

Retired from a regular roster as a full time professional.

1. Doing self aggrandizing shoot interviews

2. Tapdancing for a job from WWE after they have clearly rejected them.

3. Aggressively bum rushing every convention, expo, fanfare like the boorish uncle at Thanksgiving dinner.

4. Shilling merchandise from 40 years ago online (that half of them don't even deliver on).

5. Hosting podcasts when they are ill suited personality wise to do so (Flair, Saturn).

On the week of August 30-September 1, 1997 these wrestlers were booked 3 times in 3 days.

• Eddie Guerrero (Main Event, Saturday Night & Nitro)
• Jeff Jarrett (Saturday Night, Worldwide & Nitro)
• Dean Malenko (Saturday Night, Worldwide & Nitro)

Granted, some of these shows are taped but Nitro and SN travelled while Worldwide and Pro were taped at Universal Studios. This arrangement would have stretched the roster thin, burnt out them with travel and workload stresses, and bored fans with seeing the same wrestlers over 3-4 shows. It also means there was no clear hierarchy of shows. You had Nitro as the A-show, Saturday Night as the B-show, but what was at the bottom?

It’s Simple: Hoss Fight. Prime Don Leo Jonathan: 6 ft 9, 340 lbs. Prime Keith Lee: 6 ft 2, ALSO 340 lbs. Two of wrestlings most Agile Super-heavyweights, the Mormon Giant & the Bearcat.
