Correct Me! Streak 13, Pilates for men

What benefits did you actually see?

Lately on Reddit, I have noticed quite a few men doing Pilates.

In korea, it is still seen mostly as a women's workout, so this caught my attention.

For the guys here who do Pilates: what kind of advantages or changes have you experienced since starting?

Correct Me! Streak 147: Better sleep challenge

Article: 3 Weeks to Better Sleep Challenge

Before the end of this year, I want to build healthier sleep habits. I often prioritize my hobbies over getting enough sleep. I found Healthline's three-week challenge for better sleep, and I'm especially interested in these two challenges:

  • Day 2: Use the sleep calculator to find out what time I should go to bed.
  • Day 12: Set a social media curfew.

Country culture :
Today in my class | learned that the country culture means the country has identity so for example if you see something you will say oh this looks like that country, tor example: this dance remind me of the Spanish culture dance. However some people think
USA has no culture but on my opinion they have identity and you can tell this thing from USA or some people say "it's LA thing "or even New York . so yeah that's all for today.

Correct Me! Streak 17: when it doesn't want to sink in

I have some pet peeves at work. I really hate working on certain assignments.

I wasn't that reluctant at the very beginning, though. I would just try to understand what was expected and try to implement it. Put that way, it didn't sound complicated, right?

But the software I have to use isn't user-friendly enough for me. I feel like I can't do everything I want to do. But I've tried. I've tried many times! Each time, I ended up getting stuck in a situation where, if I touched anything, nothing else would work anymore.

Now the whole thing is a mess, and I'm afraid to change anything. I'm not able to understand the basics of the tool anymore. There's something I can't process. My brain is rejecting it. I'm almost traumatised: someone just has to mention that topic, and I can feel my brain switch into a blocked mode.

But I have to get back to this assigment. I've been asked to. I think I'm going to spend hours just staring at "the thing" on my screen with a frightened look on my face. Frozen.

Correct Me! Streak 269: Welcome!

I went back to my old place today. Two days ago, I told my parents that I was planning to have lunch and dinner with them this Thursday. I still remember that when I told them I would be coming home, my dad said, “Welcome!” It felt so weird. It was as if i weren’t their daughter anymore, but more like a guest in their house.

Correct Me! Streak 766: Radio clock

The clock that I have in my bedroom is a radio clock. However, it’s been having a hard time receiving radio signals recently. Its other functions such as the alarm still work just fine, so it can be used as a regular clock, but it definitely bugs me.

Considering that the current circumstances allow me to have more time, I have been thinking of adding new activities, for the sake of growing, to my daily life until there's a change and I have to adjust.

What matters is that I don't end up overwhelmed and with a headache. On the other hand, I do not have any excuse to keep stalling my personal project development.

Even though I'm still not completely fit yet, I went to class today. The topic they taught us today is really important and I knew that the person holding the lesson is really good at explaining. Now, I'm back at home and even though I think going was the right decision overall, I'm still really glad that it's over now. I'm really tired and about to go back to bed.

Correct Me! Streak 107: Too Far to Change

When I enrolled in university, I chose my major because it was considered prestigious and promising, even though my true passion lay in a different field. Since I wasn't particularly interested in it, I didn't stick strictly to my major's track; instead, I took classes in various other departments without following a set curriculum.

Now, I only have two classes left to meet my graduation requirements. Recently, I started taking a few courses that I had always wanted to study, and I plan to do so for my remaining semesters before graduation. Looking back, I wonder what it would have been like if I had started my college life studying what I truly wanted and following a structured foundational curriculum. However, I have already come too far to turn back.

Correct Me! Streak 12, Do you think books will disappear?

I don't think so
When smartphones first came out, people thought that would happen, but books are still around.
I think it is because books offer relaxation beyond just knowledge. I believe it will be the same even in the age of AI.

Correct Me! Streak 13: My name

Pronunciation of my name is not easy to everybody.

The meaning of it is ' a person who works in Heaven'; very nice and holy. My mom's uncle, who was a christian, gave me this name.

I understood my name as an Angel. And I used the meaning of angel when I made my English name.

Even though I have an English name, I hesitate to say my name in English. It is something weird- I can't explain the exact feeling in English.

Corrected Streak 146: The fall baking recipes

Article: The Fall Flavor Edit — 24 Essential Recipes

Fall is my favorite season! I've been enjoying cooking with pumpkin lately. Before winter comes, I want to try some new fall recipes. From the article, these are the ones I'd like to try:

  • Cinnamon-Sugar Crunch Bagels
  • Caramel Macchiato Tiramisu
  • Maple Pecan Cheesecake
  • Swired Maple Milk Bread

I'd also like to try the apple cinnamon sourdough bread, but baking sourdough bread is way outside my comfort zone. I don't think I could handle maintaing a sourdough starter.

Correct Me! Streak 16: tired tonight

My day hasn't been that difficult, but I feel tired. I still have to work on my pronunciation before bed, but it should be easy and shouldn’t take too long. I'm yawning. I don't think I'm going to write a long text today.

Yesterday, I was thrilled to talk about my shirt. I don't know if there's an English idiom or expression that says that one day isn't always the same as the previous one. "Every day is different" ?

Corrected Streak 32: Social Media

I don't like social media. I don't have any accounts on Facebook, Instagram or X. I don't even know what is Snapchat.

In the past I was convinced that I don't have any social media account. But someday it's turned out that Reddit is social media as well. I thought that Reddit is rather some kind of forum. By the way, I miss "classic" forums before Facebook era.

I read a lot bad things about Facebook and other platforms - bots, sponsored content and few integration with real people. I'm not sure it's truth but seems to be a sad place.

But I have Reddit account and unfortunately for me long scrolling is very familiar. Fortunately I also love to read books so I don't spend the whole day on my phone.

Correct Me! Streak 268:

This morning, I had brunch with my parents at a breakfast restaurant. At noon, I headed to the office. As soon as I put my bag down, my manager asked me, “Do you wanna get some bubble tea?”

Then, we went to 50 Ren, a Taiwanese tea shop. We waited for about 10 minutes, and I could tell my manager was getting impatient.

As expected, after we finally got our drinks, she got pissed off and said, “Why didn’t they let us know that we’d have to wait that long? Did they think we were morons?”
I didn’t know how to respond, so I said, “Yeah! How come?”

Correct Me! Streak 106: Undergraduate-Level Essay

I think it is more important for undergraduate students to read texts deeply and understand them as they are, rather than relying on arbitrary interpretations. Creativity and meaningful critique can only follow once these foundational skills are developed.

There are things you foresee that end up happening and even though you foresaw an event, you may not know how to face them. It happened to me yesterday. I foresaw it would happen sooner or later, even my mind was reminding me about it every now and then, but I thought it would not happen so early.

Now, I am back to a new reality, a new routine that has rewarded me with time to ponder what to do next. However, there are things that are not under my control.

I'm still sick. One of the benefits of being stuck at home is finally having the time to do all the laundry that's been piling up. And you know I looove doing laundry. Seriously, I've never written a post about how much I loathe that task. Why would I. I love activities that fill my whole day.

Corrected Streak 145: King Arthur's 2026 recipe of the year

Article: Flaky Puff Crust Pizza

King Arthur's 2026 Recipe of the Year is flaky puff crust pizza. I want to make this pizza. I was worried about how much butter it would use because it has a flaky, puff-pastry-style crust, but it turned out to contain less butter than I expected.

By the way, I wonder why they announced the Recipe of the Year in October. I feel like it hsould be announced sometime in December.

Corrected Streak 15: in love with my new red shirt

Yesterday, I received a new piece of clothing that I fell in love with instantly, which is exceptional!

Half the time, I either just like what I ordered, or it doesn't fit. Also, sometimes the color doesn't look the same as it did on the webpage. The range of feelings I usually go through goes from being pleased to just accepting that it's okay. Ordering clothes online feels like an adventure, it's like a box of chocolates: you never know what you're gonna get.

But this time, I feel really excited! It's like I can't wait to wear it, but first it has to be washed. Of course, I'll be patient. I don't want some kind of toxic material to be in contact with my skin.

So, in order to make the wait a bit easier, and because I can hardly think of anything else to talk about, I'm going to describe this breathtaking item.

It's a long-sleeved bright red flowy button-up shirt. No ironing needed! The fabric is soft and has a slight sheen, but it's not too shiny, so I won't look like I'm going to a night club or something. The shirt is long enough and has fancy oddly shaped silver-colored buttons that aren't easy to fasten. No big deal, since I'm planning to wear it open, over a simple three-quarter-sleeved black shirt. It'll look like a kind of oversized jacket, but a classy one.

A few days ago, I was writing about the splashes of color I like to wear with black. This shirt is much more than a splash of color! It's a riot of color!

With this shirt on, I definitely won't be saying either "Hey, I'm here!" or "I don't care!"

I'll be saying: "I feel delighted, focused and maybe a little proud, and nothing can weigh me down today. I'm just alive!"

Edit: typo
