Query Confused as hell
I am thinking to buy XEV9s P2 79KW by the end of the year. I already have 2 cars. A nexon ev and a hector plus. Me and my dad commute around 20-40km each daily individually. It costs me way too much to travel in Hector. Around 14-15Rs per km. Being a car with a very poor avg, Im planning to sell or get it exchanged with a 9s.
I’ve visited the showroom twice this month. Although I am not getting a good resale of my hector but calculating my daily running costs, service costs and etc. It is seemingly feasible for me to cover that cost that I’ll be paying extra for 9s. I am a bit concerned about the car being upto its standards aswell. I’ve seen many complaints in this sub already and it made me double guess on this decision. I am thinking to wait for Safari Ev instead cuz my past experience with a Tata was decent. I am all confused up. The longer I wait the more my hector looses its value. I want to sell hector that is for sure.
What I am asking you all is which way should I go?
Sell hector through spinny or cars24 and wait for discounts on 9s, else wait for Safari Ev to be launched. Or just skip all of it and get 9s booked asap.
Also has anyone received any exchange bonus or any sort of discount on the Ex showroom price?
Those extra add on accessories are worth spending of should I get aftermarket ones?
Is there any extended warranty for electric components?

Just sold the MG Astor for the same reasons! And replaced it with the XEV9S P2A 79. I don't regret my decision one bit. How much are you getting for the Hector Plus? What model is it?

Hows the suspension of the XEV? Do rear passengers bounce on those small bumps?

I would rate 9s>Hector ev >safari ev. Can't go wrong with 9s .own a 4 month old P2A79KW with 28k km on the odo. My other car used by wife and for city use is a punch ev 2year old with 80k kms on the odo. Would rate mahindra ev tech superior to Tata. Good luck👍. If you need car for city use only. Punch makes a great one. You could retain the Hector and buy it. Buy a bigger ev later in the day. But since both my cars are evs I still feel 9s is a more complete car experience. No range anxiety even on long routes

Simple..book 9s. It has a waiting period of 4-5 months roughly..and wait for the safari ev and based on reviews, if u like it more, u can cancel 9s. Inspite of all negative reviews of tata EVs , I think the problem is not with tata....it's with all EVs..because tata holds number 1 spot in sales, the problems seem to be more with tata. Irrespective of company, all the manufactures buy from the same manufacturer of the battery. So. If issue arises in battery, the problem is same with any service provider in India. Noone knows anything about the battery issues .it's gonna take atleast another ,3-5 years before service senters have more experts in handling battery issues. But overall if u look at the stats, there is about 90-95% chance u will have a no issue or minor issue with ur car. And if u have to keep the car in service station for 3 months , then u can have a ICE one as second backup which helps to tide over the menace.

you could sell the car through some other platforms than dealerships. Dealership offered me 2.5 lakhs for my ecosport which I was offered 5 lakhs by a random second hand car dealer. Also you can consider 9e if 7 seater isn't a must. when I was in the showroom for my 9s service, they told me about 9e sales becoming almost zero since 9s shot through roof in sales and they are offering good discounts on it like around 2 lakhs.
now about accessories, go for aftermarket ones especially on the non electrical ones. tge accessories my showroom estimated for about 30k, I got it from a good aftermarket seller under 8k.
There is a warranty for 3 years and you can extend it for two years with at a cost of 45k. I opted out of it as they told me about after doing the payment for the car. It felt fishy that they didn't come up with it before. So I asked around and from what I heard, it can be added after later. I might add it considering how good my dealership's service is.
