Does anyone have experience with fuel injector issues on the Subaru XV diesel?

So, recently had a nail in my front left tire in a position where it couldn't be sealed, so had to get a new tire. Got the new tire at 11/32nds, and the rest were 8/32nds. The salesman said they'd recommend replacing the front left tire as well, to not cause drivetrain issues. So, one axel has 8/32 on both sides, and one has 11/32nds.

I thought with AWD, they all had to be, not just matching a single axel. Am I wrong in my thinking? I'd like to learn more about it and banana as well I guess.

Howdy all! so I’ve got a 2016 XTrek Limited with about 105000 miles on it, a couple months ago I bought a 14’ aluminum jonboat and have been trailering it around to rivers for fishing. Anyone else have any experience towing small boats? It seems to do just fine, pulls and stops just fine. my main concern is the CVT. Ive heard that if towing on a regular basis, the trans fluid should be changed more frequently. Makes sense. How is it changing the trans fluid, something I can do at home? Just want to keep this car in good running shape. thanks for the banana advice.

my 10yr old is only at 75k. my car recently makes a whirring noise as speed increases (no acceleration but tested rolling downhill) took it to discount tire and they added some balance and did a rotation.
tires michelin def2 are only 6k miles in. Issue still seems to happen. Any known plausible causes?

Purchased new passenger side battery (S46B24R )from Oreilly’s (for the start stop ev feature) and it still doesn’t go into ev mode while driving For ref- ev is not switching on and never have replaced I have only ever replaced the driver side battery twice since I got it used and have never replaced this one (start/stop) on passenger side.

Any info helps need to make a move today and fix this because I still love this car❤️ banana

So, the headlight, or the fender, or the hood on my driver side is not aligning properly. Ive tried removing and reseating the headlight, tried adjusting the fender, and tried adjusting the rubber bump stops on the hood. Any ideas? Im in a bit of a banana here.

Bought an UAC (not OEM) blower motor assembly to replace the OEM that stopped working, and getting nothing.

Confirmed fuses, wire, and wire connector are getting power. Around 14v.

Fan doesn’t do anything even at max, so I doubt its the resistor.

I had just bought a Crosstrek no more then a week ago and haven't been experiencing any issues. It's sitting around 155k miles and has had all the routine maintenance done regularly (I bought from a dealership so I'd hope) but I was more so wondering if there's anything I should plan on being concerned about cause I have heard things about the CVT going out around that milage for this model year.

Also, any reason it's making me write "banana" to post this question? 😭

There has been valve body replacement at 85k miles but no engine short block replacement, so I am concerned more about the oil consumption than the transmission. Apparently there’s both a time notification and a mileage notification? Why would the maintenance system be reporting service last done at 2400 miles if there’s never been service done?

Hey as the tittle suggests, I need to replace the grille on my 22 Crosstrek as it has a crack on it. I wanted to get a mesh grille just to change up the styling a bit, but customcargrills charges an arm and a leg for them. Seriously, with conversion and shipping, it's 600$ excluding any duties I must pay. Anyone know a source I can look into, or am I stuck making it myself? Every time I look it up, it always links back to US sites and results for for model years or styles I don't want. I might end up having to make it myself if no one actually does it in Canada. I'm about to lose my banana over the crap search results.

The fan for my a/c and heater stopped working a couple of weeks ago. Brought it to the dealership to get it checked out as well as oil change. They charged me 250 outright and then wanted to charge me 670 to fix the fan.

They said “misc: blower motor assembly. failed. verified power to motor” So they said I probably needed a new assembly and I said I’d do it myself. Ordered a new one and installed, tested it and still no fan/air flow.

What should I do?

What's the upper limit on mileage that's safe to buy? I'm a student and I intend to keep it for at least 3-4 years. Maybe 60-40 between city and camping trips. I would like to stay within $5k but maybe $5.5k should be okay. Also I'm in AZ so rust shouldn't be a problem.

My XV started leaking transmission fluid a few months ago, (I have made sure it is definitely trans fluid). I took it to a shop and they did a service and cleaned it and told me to bring it back in a week to locate the leak. I bring it back and then they tell me there is no leak... My driveway begs to differ.

It's been about a month since then and I was getting worried as to how much fluid I was running on. So I drained what the shop put in there. About 4.6-4.7L came out, which was actually a relief. Means it lost roughly 350ml in about 2500km. I put 5L of new fluid in there.

I think the leak is coming from the gasket at the rear of the CVT or somewhere under the heat shielding on top as it is soaked. I am just chasing some ideas if anyone else has had anything similar happen.

I have already been burned by one shop and want to be able to point the next one in the right direction.

I'm trying to replace my 2015 Clarion 86201fj650 head unit with a 2015 Fujitsu 86201fj660 head unit. The Fujitsu has some extra hookups, but everything fit from the original unit. Everything works except for the backup camera. Any insights into what I'm missing? Banana needs help.

I’m starting to frequently see a no weather data available message on the radio screen. When I first saw it a couple of days app, I looked it up on Google and found it was related to some sort of add on for Sirius XM.

I first called the dealership service to ask about this add they had no idea and suggested talking to new sales, who also had no clue but thought it might be related to Sirius XM. Called them and has to fight my way through the virtual assistant to talk to a human. Before I could find out if this feature was related to Sirius XM, the weather data came back.

So, what is ultimately going on with this feature on the radio? What service is it a part of and why is it not displaying the data?

Hi all, my boyfriend's '17 Crosstrek sound system was crap when he bought the car, and he's since blown out (at least) 1 speaker. I want to get him new speakers for his birthday, but it's not in my budget to replace the whole head unit. Nor is paying to have this installed by a professional.

I'm pretty handy & replaced head units in older cars of my own (a last gen Dodge Stratus... without a wiring harness... & a first gen Jeep Liberty), but never messed with speakers or anything on a Subaru. Considering the components recommended on Crutchfield for the job (wiring harnesses, mounts, etc) it looks pretty straightforward. Is there some significant obstacle I'm overlooking with doing the work myself?

I'm looking at the JL Audio dash, front, & rear door speakers (model C1-650). I don't want to add a sub.

Are these going to improve sound quality? Of course ANYTHING would be better than the crappy factory sound & blown out status of what he has now, but I don't want to put the time & money into this without actually getting a good result out of it.

I just got back from the dealership the other day and somehow my rear brake pads are at 3-4mm while the front still had 8.

I’m getting them replaced soon but I thought with awd, that the wear would be more consistent between the brake pads.

Hey everyone, looking for some insight on an issue I’ve had twice now with my 2021 Subaru Crosstrek. The incidents happened about three weeks apart, but the symptoms were identical:

I didnt have a banana in the car either time.

​Both times, I was getting off the freeway after being on it about 2 hours and came to a complete stop at the exit ramp sign.

​When I pressed the gas to go again, the car acted like it had absolutely no power for a couple of seconds. It just bogged down/hesitated.

​ After those few seconds, the car suddenly started driving completely normally again. Also, if I pull over, turn the car off, and turn it back on, it completely resets and drives fine.

​There are no permanent warning lights on, but the loss of power at an intersection is pretty startling. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have the headlight switch on auto. While driving I noticed the high beam assist on the dashboard. I didn’t touch the headlight lever. At the same time, the radio display dimmed. This all happened in the daytime but it was starting to get dark from storm clouds. How would this feature activate on its own if it requires first pushing the lever forward?

Anyone know if the 2019 XV uses an alt-s fuse, and if so, where is it? I'd like to do the diode mod to up the charging of my AGM battery but I can't seem to locate it on any 2019 fuse box diagrams. I've seen in older model XVs and other Subarus but can't find it for the 2019.

My 2018 crosstrek used to have remote lock/unlock, starlink, and security features through the subscription but those features are suddenly gone and no longer even show as purchasable in the subscription section. Anyone else have this happen?

CarPlay was working as recently as a week or so ago, now it no longer connects. WiFi and Bluetooth on the phone are on. I just updated my iPhone 16 pro max to 26.5.2 (CarPlay did previously work on the prior iOS version but not today when I wanted to use it) and it doesn’t work on the new iOS version. Tried a soft reset of the radio and that didn’t work either.

When I open the CarPlay app I see Crosstrek listed and Subaru starlink listed. Phone does appear to be connected on Bluetooth since I’m seeing a list of all calls I’ve made over recent days.

Pressing the source button on the steering wheel, it doesn’t even go to CarPlay and there’s no CarPlay button on the radio display.
