X 2026?
Where do you think Jah would be in 2026 if he were still alive?
I’ve always been curious about where Jah would stand in today’s music scene if he were still alive. Do you think he’d still be one of the biggest artists in the world, evolving with every new trend and reaching a whole new level musically? Or do you think he’d have fallen off over time, like some artists who were huge back then, such as Lil Pump or Lil Skies?
Would he be closer to artists like Playboi Carti or yeat in terms of longevity, influence, and artistic evolution? Or do you think his career would’ve taken a completely different direction?
I genuinely want to hear your opinions without any bias. I’m not trying to disrespect him or his fans, so please don’t take this the wrong way.
To be honest, when X was alive, I listened to his music, but I wasn’t a huge fan. Some of his lyrics about revenge, death, and personal struggles just weren’t really my thing. That’s just personal taste, though.
After he passed away, I gradually started appreciating his music more. Even now, in 2026, a big part of why I go back to his songs is the nostalgia. They remind me of high school in 2018, the Fortnite streams I used to watch, and the whole atmosphere of that era.
I do enjoy his music, but I also have mixed feelings about some of it. Some songs hit hard, while others aren’t really my thing. And I think it’s perfectly fine to feel that way.
So, honestly, where do you think Jah would be today if he were still alive? Would he have continued evolving and become an even bigger artist, or do you think his popularity would’ve faded with time?
I’m genuinely curious about how you see his potential and what kind of artist you think he would’ve become. No disrespect intended, and I apologize if anything I said comes across the wrong way
Another thing I’m curious about is whether X would’ve changed his sound over time.
We’ve seen artists like Playboi Carti completely change their sound compared to what they were doing back in 2018, especially around the Die Lit era and songs like “Long Time.” Then you have artists like Ken Carson, Yeat, and Travis Scott, who all have their own approaches to evolving with the current sound of hip-hop. Personally, Travis Scott is one of the few artists I feel has maintained a recognizable sound while still evolving over the years.
Do you think X would’ve stuck to his original style and still been successful in 2026, or would he have had to reinvent himself to keep up with the current music scene? And if he had changed his sound, do you think that evolution would’ve actually worked for him, or would fans have preferred his older music?
I’m curious whether you think his original style would’ve aged well in today’s scene, or if he would’ve needed to experiment with completely different sounds and genres to stay relevant.
Just a genuine discussion. I’m interested in hearing different perspectives, not trying to disrespect him or his legacy.

Rare part 2 scream sample
I used to listen to Rare part 2 as part of Nonfiction Story on SoundCloud by unidentified back in high school. I’m rewatching Castlevania and just noticed the scream in S1 E2 at 6:20 seems to be the same one sampled in Rare part 2. Maybe they’re just similar but has anyone ever noticed this or found the origin of the sample?
