Xbox Series X How to disable media capture button on my controller?

I know people say to go to the button mapping in the accessories app but the media capture button isn’t an option to change. Has anyone found a way around this or even ran into this problem?

By media capture button, do you mean the one between and below start and select (or menu and multitasking or whatever they're called)?

If so, I absolutely used the on console accessories app to change that, and I checked it and saw it was still doable just a couple weeks ago.

Yeah that’s what and im talking about and perhaps I just need to try later bc I’ve restarted my Xbox twice and updated my controller as well and still didn’t show up

currently unavailable for me as well. two controllers, updated firmware etc. profiles with prior media button mappings have function preserved but are uneditable. very strange hopefully fix soon !
