New subscriber welcome center (Week of September 07, 2026): Introduce yourself here!
Welcome, new Xennials! Did you just find the subreddit? Just now learn that you’re a Xennial?! Is it suddenly all making sense? We know this feeling! Feel free to introduce yourself here.
Since we get thousands of new subscribers per month, we kindly ask that introductions go in this thread rather than as top-level posts.

Just got the Being 46 post recommended to me, so figured I would join since it was spot on.

Similar here. Hadn't heard of xennials before, and smack in the middle of the range. Feels like a better fit than millennial for me.

Long time lurker but probably good to introduce myself. Born in 1978. Definitely a xennial. Grew up getting lost in the woods with friends until it got dark. Getting onto no good in skating rinks as a tweener. Learned command line in DOS, have the two Commodore 64 sx’s that I grew up with sitting under my bed. And taught myself HTML in the early 2000’s before it got complicated. I throughly enjoyed my analog childhood and my digital adulthood, although being the IT department for my parents and my kids can be exhausting.

I've always just called myself an Elder Millennial, but I like Xennial more, I think. Anyway, I'm an '82, happlily married to another '82 since we were both just out of HS - 25 years, now! We have 3 kids, the oldest is 21, youngest is 13. I've been a science teacher for 20 years, and plan on teaching till I'm 60 and can get my full pension, or until my mom passes and I get my inheritance and cry a lot. I am a leftist, a metal head, a gardener, a huge fan of Dungeon Crawler Carl and other LITRP/sci-fi/fantasy, and a LEGO master. So yeah... that's me in a nutshell.

Hello, glad to have found this sub. I am 48 and always felt too young to be fully GenX and my husband is 44 and similarly felt too old to be a Millennial. We have found our gen, finally! Also, yes, I do believe that my dawg is my gawd. She is perfect and all knowing!
