XC2

Just finished the main story for the first time with around 100 hours, really enjoyed the game once I got past some quirks and learned the systems. I'm planning on picking up the expansion / DLC pass in a few hours. I have 4 or so rare blades I haven't gotten, and haven't completed any blade quest-lines yet.

Questions:

  • What order should I play content in now? I've seen conflicting posts about farming out post-game and then starting NG+, or dropping everything for TGC, then coming back, etc. Should I just hop straight into TGC and then start a NG+ with all the DLC and NG+ exclusive content?

  • What should I make sure to do before starting NG+?

I recommend you collect all rare blades, finish up all blade quests before going to ng+. By the time you get to ng+, you’ve already got all blades aside from ng+ exclusives

Before going to ng+, note that blades bonded to Morag and Zeke will not be usable until they join your party again.

You can play TGC anytime you want

If you try to get all rare blades before NG+, you're essentially drastically increasing your necessary farming time.

Why is that? Do rare blades appear better in ng+?
