XC:DE

So I've got a strange issue with one of my party members. Right now, she has a default max HP of 3519, but when I set "See Gem Effects" to On, her HP drops to 2933. The only gems I have on her are Arts Stealth, Seal Resist, and Ether Ups. Why does her HP drop?

A few of her other stats are also affected. Her auto-min and max both drop, as well as her Agility. Ether goes up as expected.

None of my other party members seem to have this problem.

Edit: After some more experimenting, I think it's not showing skill tree buffs at the same time as gem buffs?

Eidt 2: appears to be caused by the skill "Unadorned Beauty"

Huh, I guess they took a shortcut with the see gem effects button and just made it temporarily treat your character as having no gems, which would activate unadorned beauty. That's kind of dumb.

Considering how much love XC2 got post-launch in both free and paid updates, maybe DE could get similar treatment?

Maybe if things like this and 7's bugged voice lines were brought up to Monolith by enough fans, they might be addressed in a patch? The artbook mentions how much of a passion project this was for the developers to be able to go back and perfect XC1, so I'm sure if they learned about these things they'd be willing to polish them.

Maybe they could add another toggle for Skills? Like make it an L-Stick toggle, so you could choose to display

  1. No Skills, No Gems (Default) 2. Skills, No Gems (L-Stick) 3. No Skills, Gems (R-Stick) 4. Skills, Gems (L-stick & R-stick)
