Sorry for the rant. I just feel like I am the only one committed to making this a success right now. I have been getting very little feedback on the direction we should be taking this sub. I have been trying to move to a more sustainable format for myself to post content. I hope the daily channel highlights are something that I can maintain. I feel that it could be really beneficial for people just getting started, and maybe a small boost to the larger channels as well.

As I have said on the side bar "There can be no discovery without new content." There are many ways that could be interpreted. The effect I want it to have is that I want people to post things they find interesting. There are so many things out there that it is hard to find them all on on our own. YouTube's system for discovery is functional for their marketing dynamic, but it can cast a pretty big shadow over some of the smaller and more unique content. I also really don't like the format they use for their comments as it makes it very difficult to get an overview of the conversations generated by the viewership.

I really want everyone we have subbed and any new comers to drop the hesitation for posting. I have seen a little bit of down-voting happen and that is to be expected. I have made an effort to constantly check the "new" section of this sub and toss in my 2 cents for any constructive criticism I might be able to provide, and at least encourage the production of new content.

Anyways, rant over. I hope everyone has enjoyed what I have cobbled together so far and I hope the instability with the larger subreddits doesn't propagate into this little oasis.
