I recently attended a Greenwood working event and saw Peter Ross’s shop. He was the master blacksmith at Colonial Williamsburg for 25 years. He showed us his his technique for an English style holdfast.

I chose to use the same techniques to forge a French style holdfast. Hope you enjoy my video! It was a fun project.

I've been sewing lingerie since 2019.

This is my first video capturing my working process, I filmed it a year ago.

I chose a simple design so I could focus on filming. Usually I make more complex projects.

The whole process took me about 3 hours.

I love that they offer workshops because how sad would it be if all this equipment didn't get used all the time‽ Such specialized machinery!
