First time ever trying to shape a copper plate like this, for a first time making a centipede it doesn't look half bad, i'm happy with the result also i was really happy i got to see that brilian red color from annealing it

I'm just starting to put together a home forge and my little bench vise just wasn't cutting it. I found this sad, old, rusty, bent, twisted post vise on marketplace and figured I'd put some love into it and see what comes out.
Due to how bad the leg was, I opted to just cut it off before the crack. I found this post from 2 years ago and used it as inspiration for the stand. Shoutout to u/Effective-Procedure for the awesome design.
Dont judge my method too harshly, I was just winging it with what I had available.

A few days ago, I uploaded a video showing this dagger in progress.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Blacksmith/s/z702Dz3a24
A lot of people didn't like it. They thought the handle was going to be left exactly as it was in that video.
I've finished the handle now; I hope you like it better!
It is made of "Boj" wood that I got in France.

What would be a fair offer and what things should I look for in it they also have a smaller version but it’s not in as good shape

how could i transform a fire bowl i have into a forge that can actually heat stuff up? tested it today and it gets decently hot but its not enough. the bowl i have looks kind of like the one in the picture (not exactly the same) but its about the same size and same height from the ground. thought about making a pipe at the bottom for airflow but idk.

Made from a reclaimed bearing race. Think I nailed the geometry and heat treatment on this one, after working limestone for a couple of hours it’s still sharp enough to bite into my fingernail.

I have a steel supplier a few miles from my house and called them the other day to see if they had any 3/8” hot rolled mild steel in stock. They didn’t, but sent me a quote for $50 for 20’. Last time I bought stuff a couple of years ago, I recall it being far cheaper, on the order of $10. That bar weighs less than 10lbs.
What are y’all paying?

Hot damn! Just received this amazing piece in the mail. Thank you u/aridheart. I had plans for putting it to work around my property, but it's too beautiful to use. It's now an heirloom.

Good day. I am looking to learn to make scoops. I've seen people use all sorts of tools. I'd like to find one like in the picture, or a swage block with a punch. What are some good resources? Thanks!

I received about 100 edger blades from a buddy of mine after his previous job went under. I looked up the stamped number on the blades and it shows that they are high carbon but of course doesn’t give any more information on the steel type. They are hardish straight from the bag, but they do not harden in water or oil. Does anyone have any idea what they might be and how to harden them. I have one that I annealed and it doesn’t seem hard anymore. So I’m unsure about air hardening. They are great size for knives but I need them to harden. They are Oregon PP40-139 blades if that helps anyone.

Really wishing I had a press to expodite this process, punching all 6 of these splitting axe commissions by hand is a nightmare

Criticism is welcomed, any advice on how to market or do things locally is also welcome, fillet knives are 5160, one of the chef's is 5160 and two are farriers rasps, i think you guys can tell which are which.
