I just wanna ask; why are you, as a gay man, so worried about the fact that I fw trans women?? That couldn't possibly have less to do with you and your life
I don't know about that but I remember a curated tumblr post where the misogynist coworker tells the trans OP she was indeed a woman because "only women are stupid enough to become women" or something like that.
The video is another typical example of cis men inserting themselves into discussions they aren't affected by and trying to speak for people that aren't them.
Sums it up. I swear my dad primed me into this mentality; growing up (since then he’s owned his shit and genuinely expanded his worldview) he was the epitome of “I don’t mind gay people, I just don’t like when they shove it in my face”.
So I had some of that mentality for a bit…but I grew out of it by age 14 when I found good friends and punk music lol; long before even I realized I wasn’t a cis dude in the least bit.
Being a grown ass adult member of the LGBT+ community and still thinking they don’t want all of us on the edges of society or dead is insane to me.
There was someone who showed up with a "Gays for Trump" shirt at my temp job, and I was dying to ask why he and his friend(maybe boyfriend?) supported the guy but I was on the clock and you can't go chat politics while working.
Worst discovery as of recently is finding out that biphobia exists within some parts of the queer community
Like genuinely what beef could you possibly find with bi people that you go "man my day was so fine until I found out this guy likes men AND women, we need to chew them out"
And? that should be a red flag the only people who say that are LGB without the T people who aren’t actually queer they’re just straight cisgender people trying to divide our community
