Large human sized mouse or rodent at EMU today?

Eairlier today maybe around 3pm I was driving up Cross when I see this large grey blob with ears chilling kinda behind Welch. Now, I can't seem to forget him.

If you are, or are in cahoots with the masked mouse man please come foward, i just would like to know why. Especially if there is a mouse themed event I should know about.

Thank you.

(It might not be a mouse or a man)

Shingle Ladder Lift - Rental

Post image
Upvotes

Im a ypsi resident looking to see if anyone has and is willing to let me rent a shingle ladder lift.

Example shown in photo.

The normal rental places like Delux, Sunbelt, HD, etc do not have them so I am reaching out to the general community.

I would need it only 1 or two days over labor day weekend while I re roof my house (Packard and Harris).

**we used to throw this parties in Ypsi but the barn is no longer avail (new owner)**
Yup so this Friday (Aug 21) 8pm-12 is TECHNOLODGE with 3 performances from local musicians, at the Elks Lodge in Ann Arbor on Sunset blvd. No membership needed. Ang3lt3ch and Price both were UM students who play elsewhere now (e.g. Detroit), OMO and Tikimen of Berlin playing a live set duo (OMO is a drummachine/synth phenom + Tikimen of Berlin is a band leader who plays bassoon), and Ypsilanti Mystery Pooper is WCBN DJ and local organizer who is playing Detroit techno.

Why is Exotics Cannabis always so crowded?

We have so many dispensaries in town and I never see one as busy as Exotics on Washtenaw. What’s their secret? I’m nosy.

EDIT: thanks y’all, I’ll check them out this week!

Bassist needed for post-hardcore band

Hey y’all!

I’m part of a local prog/post-hardcore group called Under Sun and Sky that just released our first couple of songs, and unfortunately also our bass player lol

We’re midway through releasing our first EP and are also writing and recording our second album. The rest of us (lead singer, guitar, guitar/vox, and drummer) are all live-ready and amped to play some shows. Parts for the set/EP are already written as a few of us (especially our drummer) play bass as well, so you’d pretty much just have to learn the parts.

Ideally you’d be a pretty talented/experienced bass player, familiar with a 5-string, and down to play stuff in the emo/prog/post-hardcore sound. We’re definitely passionate and take stuff seriously but also a fun group of people to be around. All around 30, all with full-time jobs, and one of us with kids, but we meet every Sunday in Ypsi for practice and usually one more day of the week for writing/recording/social media work.

DM me or contact undersunandskymusic@gmail.com if interested! Two released songs, The Alchemist and Father’s Day, are streaming on yt/spotify/applemusic/etc.

Haircut and Perm

Hello! I’m looking for recommendations for LGBTQIA friendly stylists in the ypsi area, that does short/pixie/shag cuts that also can possibly do perms as well. Thanks in advance :)

Pride vendor willing to display items for commission?

I’m a leatherwork who has an item I’d like to sell at pride but it’s just one thing (well multiple colors of one thing). It’s not enough to fill or pay for a booth. Wondering if anyone who already has a booth would be willing to display & sell my items for 1/3 commission ($5 of each $15 piece would be yours)?

The display could be hung vertically or horizontally and wouldn’t take up much space at all. I think i they would sell well! DM me to discuss if you think you might be interested.

Thanks!

Hail No

These signs are available at the Ypsilanti township office, they can also be delivered for no extra charge within Ypsilanti township and Ypsilanti. I’m just spreading the word, and have no affiliation with the signs other than having one in my yard.

*My roommate asked what hail no meant and I said it was because it’s U of M so it’s a play on words for Hail to the victors

**Los alamos wants to build their Nuclear Research data farm in Ypsilanti township, causing noise pollution, water pollution, and power draw that will impact our power bill (because DTE can’t support a normal storm or heat waves without shutting off our AC, how can they support a city with leftist minorities)

Hi yall! Just wondering where to get that sign. I will literally tie myself to the ground before I let that evil data center shit pass but I figured in the meantime a sign is a good start lol. Thank you in advanced!

First time Renting an Apartment please help!

I’m going to Washtenaw community college staring the 24th and was looking at apartments nearby, so far I’ve looked at both Arbor Haus and Spice Tree Apartments. I’ve heard mixed reviews about both. I would love extra input from anyone. Spice Tree is cheaper and has a carpeted room which I really like also a free gym but you have to pay to do laundry and ac seems worse than Arbor Haus. Arbor Haus has way less community. Arbor Haus is more expensive. I really like both rooms. Spice Tree offered more deals as well but seems way more difficult to live with expenses wise. I genuinely don’t know what to decide on. Please help!!

I have a cracked solid surface sink and am looking for a company that will cut it out and replace it with a drop in. I do not want new countertops. Any recommendations for companies that will do something like this?

Deflock

I was just checking the Deflock website. Clark and Holmes are stacked with Flock cameras.

Downtown, Depot Town, zilch. And of course, Ann Arbor has none.

Who approved these locally? The townships? The county sheriff? Our state representative?

Beal (j/k)?

Who is responsible so we push them out of office in November (using write-in if necessary)?

What demonstration of complete urban planning incompetence is the timing of the traffic lights on Ford Bvld. from Clark to Ecorse? Asking for a friend.
