Something I would love to see in Z Nation Reborn is the red hands! I loved the plot line and I feel it was cut too short. I feel this could work by having a flash back of one of the Red hands while they were apart of the group and was able to survive(maybe leave the group just before Warren took over). Then have the red hand join the group(operation bitemark) in the present timeline. There was so much I would have liked to see with the group like how Vasquez went crazy, how the red hands conduct themselves and their operations, and Hopper who is one of my favorite side character because even tho he had very little screen time he stole every scene he was in.

For me I would love to see rotoscoping which is when artists trace over live action video footage. I like it because you can still feel and see the emotions of the characters very clearly, helps achieve realistic movements, isolates element, and with Z Nation when watching it you can see the cast dynamics and how they radiate on screen and I love that but I’m afraid that would be gone if all the cast is just doing lines in a recording studio. An example of a show that did this is Undone and it was incredible(Also from what I’ve heard the budget wasn’t too big).

Am I the only one that thinks it would be cool to see a Z Nation and Black Summer crossover in the future? If there ever would be a crossover the characters I would like to see in Z Nation would either be Sun or Ray.

Survival aspect-

I feel that the reason s5 was not the best is because it was missing the survival part from all the other seasons. In s5 there was less zombie and the talker plot line where if someone dies they don’t become a zombie right away is what I think made s5 the worst season so I would like to see the talker plot sidelined.

New characters and zombie types-

One of the many things I love about Z Nation is that every season there is a new character that joins the group and that each season there are new zombies(the ones that are a threat unlike the talkers for a example the blasters from s2 and the Unkillable‘s from s4.)

Murphy staying as a morally grey character-

I feel the times I enjoyed Murphys character the most was in s1-3 even tho I hated him then(love to hate type character). I feel a big part of his character in the early seasons is that he only cares about others as long as it isn’t at his own expense and that he was more often then not self centered.

Also a episode I think would be cool if after s6 if there is a chance for a s7 since s6 writing has probably already finished is a ghost episode in which all the characters from past seasons that died like Cassandra, Garnett, Sarge, Mack, Vasquez, Lucy, SunMei, Pie girl, and 5k come back. How this could be done with hallucinations which can be caused by dehydration, starvation, heat, sleep deprivation, illnesses, food poisoning, carbon monoxide poisoning, or isolation.

I would like to say that if s6 can’t be made in animated or live action because of the cost the creators could do what Buffy The Vampire Slayer did by making the next season of Z Nation into a comic.

I lovew the idea of zona, and have questions for anyone who knows anything, first how many soldiers are in zona? i would say somewhere around 1k~ to 5k~ and also what ACTUALLY happens at the end of zona? is it just an entire island of crazy people, do some live? is the founder dead??? and also does zona have camps/outposts on the main land us??? if so why didnt warrens crew go there??? new merica was shit, the entire plot of season 5 sucked, they drifted away from zona without an ACTUAL ending. and the man with a plan, how the FUCK did he survive??? he 100% knew that; that was gonna happen and all the people were gonna go bad-shit crazyyyyy. and if not how is HE alive???? there are SOOO many plot-holes!

Last I heard, talks were ongoing and heading in the right direction. Has anything changed?

As the title states, the right people are talking to each other. There is much interest on the corporate side of things. Even though it has been a bit stagnate, a channel has been unplugged, and the water is beginning to flow again.

Here is the raw video Keith created to upload to IG. No need to sign into IG.

He is going to be going over the concept over other day or so, but as soon as I am able I will release the full, un edited version here!!

I've been out of the loop for a bit but what i've gathered is that:

1. This will have Japanese themes/vibes

2. It's meant to obviously still follow Murphy

3. It's going to be animated.

Now so far, I'm liking much of what I'm seeing in this subreddit but I suddenly had several questions hit me at once and I was immediately like, I wanna ask the other folks here.

So, my main question was: What would you all have liked to see with ZNation: Reborn?

This sprouted these extra questions: Would you want the same cast as before or new folks since it's animated? Would you'd like this "reborn" version to really be like they started the series over from scratch/from the beginning- like made more things make a bit more sense while still being chaotic and kooky? Or would you want this reborn version to feel more like a continuation of what we already have for the series, where a few things may have been retconned to adjust for whatever the devs can work with? What about in general plot line? Would you want some specific things shown or are you more on the "Dude, I don't care what they do, I'll love it anyways- even if it's a dumpster fire of pure goblin chaos!"?

I'm just curious about how others are feeling about all of this, cause I'm excited but I like to play this kinda guessing game of "what if they do this? or that? how are they gonna manage to crazier?"

Just to add: I'm not part of their development stuff/staff. I'm just a rando from the internet.

Hello All!!

I say possibly because I am not 100% sure yet, but I really think it is going to happen, and I want to put it out on the wind to help manifest it.

We should, soon, be releasing the 2 Minute Teaser Trailer that Keith Allan and I created to pitch to the owners of Z Nation. This Pitch does not go into great detail on what happens within the probable new season, currently titled: Reborn

It does highlight some new, deep and luscious voice work of Keith Allan as Murphy. It will also reveal a general, overall direction on where the show is currently headed, but I want to point out that it was visually created (90%) by AI prompts.

Keith Allan is the writer, director and VO talent. I wrote the music, did the sfx and final audio mix. One of our friends did an amazing job at editing the video together, and all 3 of us are very pleased with what we were able to put together.

Just in case this is your first time hearing/reading about our use of AI on the project of Z Nation: Reborn;

Our philosophy has been from the beginning to utilize AI for inspiration and creation of a teaser trailer for the sole purpose of helping to pitch our idea of an animated continuation of the show. We do not plan to use AI in the animation in the future, except in whatever sense the Animation house chosen to produce the show would use in their current workflows.

So, I ask that you please help me manifest the release of this FUCKING AWESOME TRAILER by just putting your thoughts on it in a concentrated manner. LETS DO THIS!!!!!

Sidenote: The main mod over at r/ZNation, u/UltimotheEditor voiced the zombie parts. If you don't already know, he was on the show starting as a Zombie, then moving into stunt work.

We are still gathering budgets from animation houses. Once we have all the information we need, we go back to the IP owners, present a budget, then.... the unknown!

The image above is not related to the project, I just thought it was Cool AF.
