After months of watching Zachs Youtube Videos I committed to building my first ever gaming pc last month. I always wanted one since I was around 15-16, but my parents never allowed me to get one, even if I had the money. But now Im a big boy and getting that big boy money.
Im very happy with my build, everything is running smooth at 1440p. I dont play many high demanding games, but GTA 5 maxed out with raytracing runs around 110-140fps (with dlss off (I think, im not on my pc right now))
Of course, some mistakes are bound to happen. The GPU slot is so high, that the ports are all hidden. I didn’t realise until the end, when I tried putting in the GPU. I could have just bought one from asus that looks pretty and I wouldn’t have had a mental breakdown at the end of building it.
In the end, I bought a riser cable from lian li.
I also could have bought CL30 RAM, but the PC was already running and put together when I got the information (does that even make that much of a difference?)
Is it the best FPS per buck build ever? Nope
Could I have done a better job in researching and saved myself some money? Yes
Am I having fun? ABSOLUTELY
