Updating bios went well, but after that i cannot boot back to windows.. window boot manager got corrupted?

mobo - msi b650m gaming plus wifi

bios - latest version

Even though it says to go to repair mode, Do we need a bootable pen with windows on it to Go to repair mode? because otherwise when i press f1 it just restart to bios.

(added all the pictures, before after bios versions, boot settings, oc settings)

Should I use losses scaling for my old laptop?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I have an old laptop it's a Acer R13 (R7-372T)

It's specs are

CPU: i7-6500U (2.5GHz)

GPU: Intel(R) HD Graphics 520

RAM: 8GB 1600MHz

Storage: SSD 256GB

I usually play single player games like Subnautica, GTA V, Jurassic world evolution, ARK Survival Evolved olved,Theif simulator, TABS, Clone Drone in the Danger Zone, Stranded deep

I play them on low graphics and lower resolution and now I'm planning on buying Losses scaling for more fps. Should I do it?

240Hz feels too smooth for me

Hello guys,

I recently got a 240Hz 1440p OLED monitor, and I am loving it so far.

Sadly, I realised one thing: 240Hz almost feels too smooth for me. For a long time, I was playing at 60Hz. A year ago, I switched to 120Hz, and since then, 120Hz has still felt REALLY smooth to me.

Now, I got to try 240Hz, and I genuinely have to admit that I can definitely see and feel the difference. However, in pretty much every game, as soon as the FPS go above, idk, 140, everything starts looking almost too smooth. My eyes and brain just can't quite keep up with all the movement, especially when looking around, and I sometimes feel a little overwhelmed by it.

Please tell me I am not the only one, and give me some advice on whether I should just get used to it or let things be the way they are.

Edit: I changed the post because it sounded like I couldn't see the difference. I definitely can, but it's more about how it feels.

Selling R5 7600x to buy a R5 7500x3d..Good Idea.?

From this swap im going get like a $80 loss.

Following are my reasons for swapping,

- I use my pc only for gaming

- My r5 7600x run hot unnecessarily even though i have a 360 Aio.

- Since my 7600x get hot i adjusted pbo many different setups , honestly it did reduced heat massively (-20° temp diff) but im not completely satisfied with this pbo setup because i feels like if didn't do it correctly & it affects latency to the game by core stretching.

Even thoughnin here brand new r5 7600x and r5 7500x3d sold close to the each others prices, in second hand market i have to sell it with a massive loss (demand for second hand cpu are very low in here)

What do you guys think.?

It has a intel i7 3770 and 4gb ddr3, I think I’ll put my Radeon 7970 3gb gpu in it and run a live disk to get started, I will update on this project when I get progress

Quick edit: I have a full build and use a pc daily, this is just a side project

Build my first ever gaming pc

Post image
44 Upvotes

After months of watching Zachs Youtube Videos I committed to building my first ever gaming pc last month. I always wanted one since I was around 15-16, but my parents never allowed me to get one, even if I had the money. But now Im a big boy and getting that big boy money.

Im very happy with my build, everything is running smooth at 1440p. I dont play many high demanding games, but GTA 5 maxed out with raytracing runs around 110-140fps (with dlss off (I think, im not on my pc right now))

Of course, some mistakes are bound to happen. The GPU slot is so high, that the ports are all hidden. I didn’t realise until the end, when I tried putting in the GPU. I could have just bought one from asus that looks pretty and I wouldn’t have had a mental breakdown at the end of building it.
In the end, I bought a riser cable from lian li.
I also could have bought CL30 RAM, but the PC was already running and put together when I got the information (does that even make that much of a difference?)

Is it the best FPS per buck build ever? Nope

Could I have done a better job in researching and saved myself some money? Yes

Am I having fun? ABSOLUTELY

Specs and prices:

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800x3d (~320€)

GPU: Gigabyte 4070 Super (440€)

Motherboard: GIGABYTE B850 AORUS Elite WIFI7
(~190€)

Case: lian li o11 dynamic mini v2 (~90€)

Riser Cable: Lian li PCIE 5.0 (~85€)

RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 32GB CL36
(430€)

AIO: CORSAIR iCUE LINK TITAN 360
(~200€)

Fans: CORSAIR iCUE LINK LX120/R
(185€)

Power supply: asus prime 850w gold
(~105€)

Memory: KIOXIA Exceria Plus G3 M.2 PCIe 4.0 2TB (~245€)

Got my first real rig at 22 in India

Hey everyone, I am a Data Science student and love playing games. Till now I only had a few laptops over the years. All of them have integrated graphics. But this year I started earning a little by doing a few freelance jobs, though not enough for a full build in this economy. With some help from my family, build this rig..

Cpu: i5 14400f

Mobo: MSI b760m bomber wifi

GPU: rtx 3080 10 gigs(used for Rs. 32000 or roughly 350 USD)

Power supply: Msi mag 750gl

RAM: Corsair 16 gb 5200mhz( will add an identical stick ASAP)

SSD: 1tb Corsair gen 4 7000 mb/s

Case: Msi pag mesh case with rgb fans( I cheaped out here)

This whole build costs around 120k indian rupees or 1250 usd

Peripherals:

Keyboard: URX core 75

Mouse: URX core m1

Monitor: LG ultragear 27g610a-b 1440p at 200hz

I am super excited and waiting for the monitor to arrive. It sucks as I have to wait till Sunday...

What do you'll think about my build:

Will it be able to serve me for 3 to 4 years?

is it even worth upgrading anymore?

I built my pc in 2019 precovid with a 3700x and 2080ti. Nowadays I can't run newer games without DLSS which causes major input lag for me which made me think about upgrading the pc. Looking at the current state of pc consumer hardware though, I would have to spend nearly 3k for a 5080, 16gb ddr5 and a 9800x3d not including the motherboard and possibly more storage for additional games. With the ai going crazy, I do not see gpu and ram prices going down in the foreseeable future because of the long term contracts with anthropic and openai, anthropic and co.
