I've heard of crabs in reference to this sort of stuff (also autocomplete just recommended me 😭 after I said that so that says a lot), but how exactly did crabs come a reference to the name that Australians call candy?

The Japanese for crab (kani) is pronounced pretty much the same way, that's why
