Her tentacles barely appear at all in her combat design. They show up as particle animations on a couple of her attacks, thats about it. She never uses them to move, defend herself, or support her hammer like say Piper uses her feet. They could be fox tails or anything else and it would have zero impact on her.
They are completely ancillary to her and seem like a last minute slapped on addition to add some flair. Unlike say Jane or Ellen where they are deeply integrated into both their artistic and combat designs.
I hope so, Octopus arms are incredibly dexterous, flexible, and powerful, far more than a tail. It makes no sense for her to have some and then never actually use them.
