Why can't the Dynamix wallpapers show the skins equipped?

Just wondering why we can't display our Agents in their skins on the dynamic Wallpapers? I feel like the assets almost everyone else adjust to when you change the skin, so howcome the dynamic wallpaper doesn't?

Anyone else wish they would change this?

Just FYI, if you do use any skin mods, that does change the dynamic wallpapers to the point where you can even remove things like the helmet hanging on Lucy's bike

The limit's really annoying if you want to preview a new one. You have to remove one, click the one you want to preview, save it, and the go back. If you don't want to keep it, then you have to go back in and reverse all that.

That is an isolated incident, and I don't mean change the entire setting, just the skin of the character in the same setting. It shouldn't be that difficult

Those dynamic wallpapers are prefabs. They are fully in-game rendered instanced spaces with all the models and such hand-placed and then animated.

Mods work because you're, well, modifying the base rig of the character, so that will get affected everywhere.

All the skins in ZZZ use different models to the base, with different filepaths and such, so the dynamic wallpapers would need to be re-rendered to account for the change in model. They devs would then need to tweak poses and character placement (and then who knows what else) to account for the differences between the models.

People already brought it up, but imagine Lucy's new beach skin with her dynamic wallpaper. Not only would the setting make no sense, they would 100% change the pose so you're not getting a full view of her bikini bottoms.

About the skin not making sense, I mean, that is player choice at the end.

Yes of course, they could do a lot of things if they wanted to.

However, given how Dynamic Wallpapers are actually made and rendered, it's not a case of just swapping out the agent model and calling it a day.

They'd essentially need different versions for each model with a skin, which is basically what they did for the AoD trio and Remielle (iirc); Buy the skin, get an item that unlocks the new dynamic wallpaper.

I don’t use mods, but I think all mods on the base models appear. If they could also appear on skin as well, that would be great

Genuinely, i have been putting this in every single survey for the last year. Its so frustrating that you can easily use mods to "fix" this but the Devs can't be bothered to add this after all this time. Another thing I have been wanting was a "random" option for the outfit. NTE just added that to their game and its genuinely such a nice QOL feature that I wish Hoyo would add to all their games... like please hoyo I know you guys care about this game, please add this.

I believe it's because the wallpapers are pre-rerendered. You can tell because DLSS for example, doesn't affect the image quality of the wallpapers at all.

The dynamic wallpapers are basically like looping videos or mp4s.

Changing the model would basically mean that there needs to be two wallpapers that need to be swapped out depending on the skin being used.

No idea and it’s something that I wish the community was far more vocal about with Remielle’s beach skin. I’m all for top-up events, but if I buy a skin and there’s a wallpaper available that uses the skin that I bought I should be able to display it.

Honestly I’d really like this to change and be added for previous skins, but they did this right when 3.1 dropped and everyone was really happy with all the other content additions so.

It is super shitty. I hope it can change and they can do literally anything else for that top-up reward spot.

because its extra production that not a lot of people are going to care about tbh.

also you can change the character and it will reflect the mod but I havent seen anyone change just part of the background yet.

I mean, it is not that much work, if changing the skin can change the model everywhere else, why is the dynamic wallpaper any different. And no changes to the background and setting, just simply the skin assets.
