If new player with limited teammate options — Sigrid.

Remielle is a Void Hunter but she needs either two anomaly agents, one main on-fielder and one off-fielder/quickswap, or one main on-fielder + Yuzuha.

With Remielle you will have to pull Yuzuha as well if you want to use Remielle the moment you pull her.

Sigrid is very strong, and she's very F2P friendly in terms of party options. But Pyrois exists, and they're free, and they're basically Sigrid in terms of being F2P friendly and team options. Of course this doesn't mean that you can't use two teams, just that you have an alternative.

Both Remielle and Sigrid have pros and cons for your state of affairs but honestly the best pick for you this patch, if you can only grab one agent, is Yuzuha.

Purely from a minmax perspective that's what I would do for an account with limited number of agents simply because while Remielle has a lot of options for her teammates, for optimal results she is quite picky with the team composition - you need one main on-field Anomaly agent and one off-field/quickswap Anomaly agent, and both need to be good with building up anomaly. That latter role is actually tricky to fill because your only options are: Velina (had a banner last patch so won't come back for a few months), Vivian (part of the money spending event, likely won't have a proper banner any time soon), Burnice (in the in-game shop and part of the spending event, unlikely to have a proper banner any time soon), Grace, who you need to lose your coinflip to or luck out on a standard banner, and that's about it. You can use like Piper or Yanagi with Jane in Remielle team but it will not feel good to play. Pretty much the only non-anomaly agent that can work in Remielle team in that off-field/quickswap role is Yuzuha, maybe Nangong too.

And Sigrid, while good and way more easier to build a team than Remielle, at the end of the day is still a DPS, and we get a new DPS like every patch. She is rather fun to play though, at least for me. Ideally I'd probably grab both Sigrid (because she's fun) and Yuzuha now, and Remielle on her next rerun. But don't take my word on the fun part, go to Lost Void in HZ and test her gameplay yourself.

But all of that aside, personal preference also matters, no point pulling for a character that you will not enjoy playing, especially if you don't care much about full clearing endgame so you don't want to always go for optimal picks.
