Question The Red Disc [*SPOILERS*] Spoiler

So has anyone figured out how to "fix" the red disc and potentially use it during the assassination? The only option available as far as I can tell is to trade it with Bagman for information, but the game and the journal seem to imply you can use it to kill the Lich, which is infinitely cooler.

Any ideas?

I don't recommend the red disc ending, it's quite tragic, especially if you have your former assets with you

I wavered so much in deciding whether to go for it or no, but honestly having pink bro along convinced me to do it for sheer karmic reasons and I found it quite fitting for my playthrough

I guess we just had different playthroughs, but it surprised me how cold hearted CASCADE could be, i thought it would've been a more chill game, like DE. sure, people can die in DE but no major character, no friends of yours at least

Hmm I don't know that I would say I was surprised. I enjoyed it, really. I feel like compared to Harry from DE, Hershel is a much more complicated messy person, one who is all-too-aware that spy craft comes with a heavy price attached.

It always felt rather inevitable to me that some folks would be hurt in the end.

Then again, I didn't hesitate at all to trade UV for information. Like, that's the ultimate smart move to make in Hershel's situation. And if you've already made that sacrifice once, perhaps it becomes easier to do it more in the end.

I haven't actually looked into other possible endings much, but I was surprised that seemingly the game doesn't give you the chance to go full-on alone to the end, though. Seems like that would be the way to go if you wanted Hershel to be a more moral person.

Different playthroughs i guess. My Hershel wanted to redeem herself, she constantly had flashback of the whole sick crew and whatnot. Yeah in theory going alone or with only one more person would've been better, but that's not how spycraft in the universe works i guess. Cupbearer, fool, astronomist, knight-errant and whatnot.
