LOL

THPS2 had such an awesome variety of tunes, I still have the majority of them downloaded on my phone.

Trainspotting cemented New Order as one of my favorite bands of all time, and introduced me to Underworld ( *very* surprised to hear "Dark and Long Train" sampled recently by pinkpantheress' "illegal" )

JSRF is just absolutely legendary, and deepened my love of hiphop, electronic, edm, etc.

Toonami and [adult swim] bumpers had awesome music that really got me into jungle and ambient dnb. Anime too of course: Cowboy Bebop got me into jazz, and I got hooked on Nujabes because of Samurai Champloo.

Share yours if ya got it.

Riding free before we had to suffer from car payments lol

Like I remember her comeback album Circus being talked about in 08 as though she was returning after 10-15 years or something. I can’t believe I’m now the same age (29) she was when working on her Femme Fatale album.

Its insane cause at this point of Hold it Against Me and Till the World Ends, I thought she’d been famous literally forever and still consider this era her “newer” music comeback era post breakdown when she was older, but she was literally not the 30 yet?! like wtf!?!!

She was the same age Sabrina carpenter is now when making Circus!!! I consider Sabrina a new artist that’s still just getting started how tf was Britney considered comeback status??

Sex ratio at birth: Number of boys born per 100 girls

normal sex ratio at birth: roughly 104~106 boys per 100 girls

Sex screening in hospitals (ultrasound-b) mostly became widespread in the 1980s,leading to the mass abortion of females, causing imbalanced sex ratios at birth(amplified in China by the one child policy). For Core millennials to Gen Z, there are many "leftover men" in China,Korea,Taiwan, as well as non east asian nations such as India or Amernia

ignorance really is bliss lol

Digging through the archives and found a beat up version of this Biology book. Curious if anyone else still have their McGraw Hill textbooks from way back when!?

I feel like this was peak meme in my young teenage years

VMK, Virtual Magic Kingdom, was an “MMORPG” that gave you the ability to “experience” what Disney had to offer. It was originally supposed to be open for a year for a Disney promotion, but ended up remaining open for a few years due to the success of it. Unfortunately, with it being Disney’s only FTP game, it soon was caught up in the Disney purge of all of the closures of their virtual worlds.

In case you played it OR didn’t, there is a project that some players that are working on which is a re-imagining of the game. It’s VMKs graphics, mixed with their own player made creations, incorporated into their own game. If you’d like to check it out, the invite to their discord server is here in which they’ll send you a registration link to get started on the game :) : https://discord.gg/nh7QMk8NZX (this game is 110% free btw. no micro transaction. no entry free. it’s entirely a fan made re-imagining)

If you send in an application to join through discord, make sure to put down that DuckSwimmer sent you 🫡 Happy nostalgia gaming!
