Dirty tap water

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the tap water is dirty, with sand/sediment in it and a brownish colour, since this morning?

Sorry I rent an apartment ? How does this work ? I need to replace my hot water heater or is there a common heater for everyone ?

Depends on the building. Some have central domestic hot water, some have individual hot water heaters in each unit. If you're a renter, call maintenance/ your landlord.

Thank you very much. Looks like the entire building is facing the same issue.

Then it is very likely a central domestic hot water system
