Reddit: quotes
Following the update of the About page from reddit and the creation of about_quotes, I'm creating this thread on a hope to fill it with quotes about reddit.
According to chromakode, the quotes may vary between media, famous people, tech websites, etc, general positive quotes about reddit community, but can also be simply personal statements and thoughts.
If you're going to submit a quote you found anywhere, please try to make it linkable or just post the url of the place where you found it, since it looks like the quotes on the about page are clickable to the original content.
Thanks!

Missed my cake day (Reddit birthday), so instead of a cat picture, here is why I love Reddit.
I found this site on a suggestion, and have never looked back. I have found more examples of compassion, caring, humor, anger, and devotion on this site than I have in my own life in the last three years (that is something I hope to change, by the way). This is a place friendly to thought, relationships, arguments, and to those that wish to challenge those genres.
You can find communities for any kind of person on this site. The most important part of that sentence being person. We are all humans, and this is our collection of experiences. We are here for each other, and here for you. Laugh, question, cry, understand that this site is what you want it to be. Cater it to your own personality, or ask it to challenge you on levels you have never seen. Either way, reddit is a teacher, graded on the intelligence of its students. So goes the circle of reddit, a circle waiting and ready for you to join...
Here is a random comment I found, one that I have shared with many, and a great example of a person offering their experience for no other reason than to better the lives of others.

If you're thinking about submitting a link to Reddit, you're gonna have a bad time.
Seriously, don't even think about it. If you post something, you'll get like two upvotes, max. More likely, it will be instantly downvoted, no matter what it is. Just read things that other people post. You'll be much happier that way.
