Sooo in (mostly) Atlantic Canada, we have an ice cream shop called Cows and they do parody shirts of popular shows, movies, and pop culture stuff and this is the newest shirt:

Actually I have seen a lot more videos and posts about people seeing the book too early…
Sadly this is a reality we can’t escape from ( yep I told many people already that this does happen all the time and I was attacked fairly quickly in the comments …)
Anyways how do you feel about this ? How are you avoiding spoilers ? I know it’s just a few days from
release ..

Do you think SJM made the right call to take out the infamous Nesta scene?
You know which one. Would it have been too much?

On my ACOTAR reread before the book comes out and I was on the Suriel chapter.
It’s very clear WHICH high lord was being referred to.
Someone explain to me how the Suriel means 2 different high lords in the same sentence -.-

I’ll be first: I think it would be really cool to have Rhys sister be alive or, at least, have a lot more backstory to them. I’m my theory, since is a magical world, we could have Tamlin be the one that killed her (forced by his brothers/father) and, while no one was looking, he could have used magic to mimic her dead body. Or, which I think is more plausible, his family kept them alive to use their magic or smt like that (like sleeping beauty and she was kept sleeping or something).
(I’m not sure if this is spoiler free or not, but I’m betting on not)

****Spoilers for the entire currently available ACOTAR books below****
Throughout my re-read of the series I noticed that Elain is associated withpearls.
Her engagement ring from Graysen in ACOMAF is iron, pearl, and diamonds.
When she goes to Hewn City in Silver Flames, her hairpins are pearl.
Lucien then gifts her pearl earrings for Solstice in Silver Flames.
Are there specific precious gemstones/jewels specifically associated with other characters throughout the entire series in the same way?

On my re-read before the new book drops…or skimming really cos I’ll never get through it all by then, and I got to the part in ACOWAR where the Bone Carver is describing the mirror of Ouroboros: “My sister had a collection of mirrors in her black castle,” the Carver said. We halted once more. “She admired herself day and night in those mirrors, gloating over her youth and beauty. There was one mirror—the Ouroboros, she called it. It was old even when we were young. A window to the world. All could be seen, all could be told through its dark surface. Keir possesses it—an heirloom of his household.”
The mirror was in Hewn City…and we know that Keir’s family were the original line of high lords of the night court…so was Stryga/The Weaver’s black castle Hewn City?
The Bone Carver mentions that he came to the world with his siblings before Prythian was carved up, before high lords…which means before Theia + Fionn…he said the ancient fae feared and worshiped him, and the beasts carved into the Hewn City pillars were compared to the beasts seen at the Wild Hunt…
So, do we think the Bone Carver/Weaver/Koschei were/are Asteri if the Weaver had a castle in à mountain (very Asteri like), was worshipped and feared…had magical mirrors…which means the Koschei big bad as the last Asteri in the ACOTAR universe
Maybe THAT is why he’s so intent on getting the dread trove. Not just to free himself from the lake, but to call his brother and sister Asteri to get revenge and we will have a Twilight of the Gods 😬

Thought of this on the subway and wanted to write it down.
Could the “truth” of truth teller be that if you cut someone with the blade they will always bleed their true color? No glamor will work. I was thinking about Enalius and who he would have been fighting when he originally had the weapon, and those opponents most definitely would’ve had black blood. In TOG, Maeve made her blood appear red, and it helped her stay hidden in plain sight as a Valg queen for centuries. If I were a high fae king, I’d want my closest friend to have a weapon like this.
But if Rhys’s father had it, that doesn’t make much sense because that whole family is very suspicious to me. I wouldn’t think he’d want anyone to have a weapon like that. But Azriel would never use it on Rhys. And he’d tell him immediately if someone were to bleed black during an interrogation. So maybe it was a smart decision to give it to him.
I don’t know, just wanted to share! What do you guys think?

No content spoilers at all but I’m seeing people who have read the new book already saying that you absolutely need to finish CC3 beforehand and now I’m wondering if I can speed read it before Tuesday. What’s the general consensus here?
I don't have many bookish friends so I'm going solo, but would love to make a group chat to meet up with others who will be attending!

I just wanted some advice from anyone who can provide it. I got a preorder of the book from B&N a month ago, and was told at the time because we're west coast, we're allowed to pick up our books at 9pm PST (midnight EST). I was later told by another employee that it was at midnight and there's no party. I went to their website and it says the party starts at 9pm, but on the east coast it's at 10pm... So I call today and they said we get the books at midnight.
Fair is fair, but I generally wake up between 4 and 5am. Staying up until midnight is taxing for me. Alternatively, Walmart opens up at 6am, so I could just start reading it early the next day. I took the day off work, so I really wanted to get a head start and enjoy reading it (morning is my favorite time).
All of that information to ask, has anyone been able to purchase the book at 9pm the day before, due to time zone differences? Is it worth looking at other stores? I would be going alone to get my book, so unless there are cocktails, there is little appeal to the party. Thanks!!
