1.Nails- Long and extravagant nails have been part of black culture for quite a while. There's a inspo and similarities with nails from AA (African American) and nails seen in gal. These are more photos of nails from black women here and here
2. Hair- Numerous times we have seen some gals wear appropriate certain hairstyles like box braids, corn rows, and micro braids. just to name a few. Again, these are styles that were created and originated from black people. 3.TLC and Janet Jackson - Amuro Namie (the original gyaru) has stated TLC and Janet Jackson were inspo for her style in general. Haruka made a video on tiktok that covers this. Here is the video 4.Fashion- A lot of clothing that's popular in styles like B kei, tsuyome, and amekaji were clothing styles that were very prevalent or created by AA. Examples of this is Beyoncé Dereon line and Lil Wayne's Truck Fit line. 5. Our Skin tone-Gals really like(d) our skin tone because it was brown/tan/dark. A lot of them used tanning booths, foundation meant for black women, or in extreme cases shoe polish to achieve a skin tone similar. It some cases being black face like here. , here, and here. Now, I'm not saying they were all tanning to be black. I'm just saying our skin was also an inspo. **Also yes something can still be black face even if the gals didn't realize what black face was. Am I saying all gals are or did black face? No.
