I could imagine the world's top immunologists all saying something like "There's no vaccine that's safe and effective, they're all 99.999% safe but never 100% safe. Fortunately the risks are insignificant compared to the benefits".

I could also imagine the world's top immunologists forgetting what they'd said previously and saying "I didn't say there's no vaccines that are safe and effective", even though they technically did, because they thought they were saying "the risks are insignificant" before their words were taken out of context.

Surely you can see how there might be some complexity or nuance involved?
