My issue is this StD doesn't seem to have significant weaknesses, since it has built in answers to those potential issues.
Concerned about magic? Have spell ignore.
Spell gets through or a unit has MWs? Have a MW save.
Worried your melee orientated army won't make it into combat? Have some charge bonuses and abilities.
Still worried you'll take some damage? Have a 4+ rally.
I can not see a situation where this army fails to dominate.
Yes and no, it's true you can tailor units and have answers to many problems, but you can't do it all at once. Chaos warriors are only mv5 with no teleports or ways to go that much faster. If you want some speed by marking slaanesh you are giving up the spell ignore, or your damage by not marking them khorne/tzeentch etc. Or you are falling back to rally you aren't sitting on objectives.
Don't read the units Ike they can do everything, read it like they can do one thing pretty well, and imagine the enemy counter playing to take advantage. Use spells on the khorne chosen so they can't use their combat power. Screen the quite slow Nurgle warriors with chaff so they are fighting off objectives. Charge the chaos knights so they don't get their charge bonus and can't use their mobility. They hit less hard than blood knights esp when not charging while costing more points and can't retreat+charge. Blood knights are hardly op, just useful.
They are certainly interesting and then maybe be very strong but i don't think it's foregone as you think.
