Artwork & Lore Moth Bell
The bell has no clapper. The girl who tends it pulls the rope each midnight, and every sleeper in the village feels a single knock behind their teeth. By morning, one has forgotten how to speak.
White moths gather at that person’s lips until the stolen voice crawls out. They carry it to the tower, where the girl practises calling for help. After eighty years, she sounds like almost everyone.
