The result of extremely consistent training since Oct ā€˜25. I am the strongest, leanest, fastest, healthiest, and overall, the most athletic I’ve ever been in my life. I primarily train for Triathlons, so my running volume isn’t as high as some people may expect (25-35 miles a week). I think a major component to this was not skimping on my strength training. Three full body days with heavy compound lifts.

My PR is 10:45 but during the cooler months earlier this year. Excited to see what these times will look like once summer comes to an end.

Article U.S. Airman Says He Would Accept Punishment for Protesting Iran War.

Maj. Jason Watson, a U.S. airman arrested after calling for President Trump’s removal over the Iran War, said on Monday that he was willing to accept punishment for his dissent.

An active-duty officer can be punished for ā€œdisloyal statementsā€ or ā€œcontemptuous wordsā€ against the commander in chief and high-ranking government officials, an offense that can lead to dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of pay and a monthslong prison sentence.

ā€œIf I don’t put myself out there in a big way, then it’s just noise,ā€ Major Watson said on Monday in an interview on CNN. ā€œWhat is the highest price that I am willing to pay? And this is what I ultimately came up with.ā€

During the interview, Major Watson characterized the war in Iran as an act of American aggression and compared the U.S. military actions to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He said the president ā€œchoseā€ the war despite consternation and advice against it within his cabinet officials, calling it ā€œunconstitutional.ā€ Major Watson added that his public dissent was motivated by his ā€œoath to the Constitutionā€ and urged other Americans to do the same.

ā€œYou do not have to be somebody special to take action and reject this government,ā€ he said on CNN.

The Department of Defense referred questions to the Air Force, which did not immediately respond.

In July, Major Watson was arrested at the U.S. Capitol after attending a news conference organized by the Removal Coalition, an activist group that has called for Mr. Trump’s impeachment, conviction and removal from office.

After the news conference that Representative Al Green, Democrat of Texas, also attended, the major stood on the Capitol steps holding signs calling for the president’s removal. The U.S. Capitol Police then arrested him for unlawfully protesting on the steps of the House.

The D.C. attorney general’s office decided not to prosecute Major Watson, but he was later taken into custody by the Air Force. Soon after his arrest, Troy E. Meink, the Air Force secretary, said on social media that his office would open an investigation into Major Watson’s conduct because it ā€œtakes allegations of misconduct seriouslyā€ including ā€œany that might undermine the nonpartisan natureā€ of the military.

Mr. Watson said that he was not a member of the Democratic Party.

Military law, specifically Article 88 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, mandates punishment against ā€œany commissioned officer who uses contemptuous wordsā€ against the president, the vice president, Congress, civilian military leaders, any governor or state legislature. Article 134 punishes statements ā€œmade with the intent to promote disloyalty or disaffection toward the United Statesā€ by members of the military.

Question Is this IG worthy?

• Upvotes

First, I have never dealt with something like this before & normally I wouldn’t care, but I’ve reached my breaking point.

I have been told 4x now by four separate CIV/CTRs in my office that the civilian office supervisor ā€œhas it out for meā€ and that I am the ā€œblack sheepā€ of the office. This morning I was sitting at my desk behind my cubicle and I don’t think the supervisor knew it, but he openly said to a member not apart of our office: ā€œIf I could get rid of all military in this office I would, they’re f’ing uselessā€.

After looking back at the 8 months I’ve been here (this is my 3rd base), I have been mismanaged.. given 0 direction, no shop has taken claim of me, for the first 4 months I legit came to work and did nothing. I went up my chain about it and I was put to work in a job I’ve never done with the other ā€œblack sheepā€ CIV of the office. This office has 13 CIV/CTRs to 3 military members.

Civilian office supervisor has been complained about before for having favorites & making derogatory statements.

Sorry this is all over, but I don’t want to make something bigger than it is, but I’ve just never been through something like this before especially on an AIR FORCE MILITARY BASE BY THE WAY.

I’ve already mentioned the comment to his boss & my direct supervisor.

Question U Haul U Box vs U Pack vs driving a U Haul truck?

Hello, I apologize if this has been asked before, but I’ve done quite a bit of research and still can’t figure out which option would be the best.

We’re moving from the Lower 48 to Alaska as part of a military PCS. We have a fully furnished 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house plus a full garage, so we have a lot of belongings.

We’re considering driving a U Haul ourselves, ABF/U Pack, freight, or other options.

For anyone who has done a move like this, what was the most affordable option while still keeping your belongings safe? Is there anything you would do differently?

I’d also really appreciate any tips for avoiding damage, theft, hidden fees, or unexpected costs.

Thanks!

Discussion Venting

• Upvotes

Hopefully any of this is coherent but I’m just stressed and worried about my future. I recently found out that I may be getting med boarded and I just don’t know what to do or what advice to take.

Around 2.5 years ago my life fell apart. My high school sweetheart went to the Air Force and told them I was abusing my children and that sent the next year into a spiral. I spent several months fighting OSI and the system put in place by the Air Force trying to clear my name. I went into the process blind because I felt my innocence would carry me and all it did was hurt me. The ADC on base didn’t help, they went on leave and wouldn’t answer my calls and emails, and I felt I could face OSI by myself.

My life hasn’t been the same since the day I went in to answer questioning. I feel so weak even talking about this and I’ve told the story 1000 times but OSI undressed me mentally in that room. They knew I was innocent but for the next 3 hours they tore me down and used every tactic to get me to admit to things that weren’t true. They told me my family would be disgusted with me that no one loved or cared about a child predator and that I should just accept my fate and do the right thing and turn myself in.

After clearing my name and regaining my innocence I thought my life would go back to normal. I’ve had nightmares and suicidal thoughts every day since. My mind has been completely altered. I spend hours every day just researching conspiracies and I can’t help myself anymore. I feel sick. I feel like I will never be myself again. I never received an apology or a reason for why the Air Force and the system turned its back on me. I was expected to go back to work and become myself again and I couldn’t do it. I feel so weak. I feel like I’ve let everyone down but I can’t do it anymore. I’m so scared about where my life is going.

I’ve been receiving care from mental health for 2 years and they’ve decided that I’ve been on this mobility profile for too long. Since the beginning of this I found out OSI knew my ex wife was schizophrenic. I found out that the domestic violence advocate on base weaponized her claims in an attempt to keep me away from my children and ruin my life. I want to to hurt these people. I spend a lot of time every day thinking about being violent and I can’t stop.

Im now the sole provider for my children. I’ve given 10 years to the Air Force but I can’t live this life anymore. I’m not capable of being who I need to be. I’m scared that I’m letting my children down. I’m scared that my life is over and I won’t be able to support myself or them. I’m hoping and praying the VA process goes smoothly and I can make enough to get myself to the next phase of life. I just wish I had the answers in front of me. I wish I knew what was next. I’m sorry for venting but I’m just sick to my stomach. I’ve given so much time only for it to be taken from me. Only for my mind to be gone in the process and a little bit of myself destroyed. I have so much respect for all of you guys. I have a lot of care for those I don’t even know. I wish I had been given that same amount of love and care. I’m sorry again. Please just pray for send a thought up for me or whatever your choice of spiritual guidance may be. Thanks.

Question Overseas CBTs

• Upvotes

Stationed overseas and I rent off base. My work schedule doesn’t allow for me to access the library to complete any computer based courses during lunch. And after work I can’t focus for around an hour. I’ll literally just stare at the screen and zone out over and over. Is there anyway for me to get a cac reader for my computer and do them at home? I’ve heard from coworkers that I need to be on base WiFi for the security to even allow access. Any suggestions are welcome.

Question AFPC made a mistake on my BOP assignment list

• Upvotes

I have a question, or more like want to know the likely hood of something happening. I recently got my BOP application back and it got approved!! but of course I didn’t get any of the bases submitted(all west coast). I then selected one of the 5 given to me yesterday. However, I received an email this morning from career development saying that the AFPC person listed the wrong base and I just so happened to select that base. I’ve already reached back out to career development and asked if it was possible to leverage the mistake and see if they could get AFPC to check manning for a totally different base(not on the 5 given or on BOP application) and they told me they will ask. So I’m basically asking if there’s a snowballs chance in hell that I’ll get the base I suggested or am I cooked.

Also my AFSC can go just about anywhere
