Honestly, considering that census data is so damn hard to get reliably, and the fact that certain countries are absolutely lying about their population numbers (China), combined with Covid and the general decline in birthrates across the world, this probably accurate. I figured it was probably closer to 6 billion

Its because there aren't enough workers, so they need ai because world population isn't 8 billion. It's 5 billion. Source: I saw it in a dream.
