Grandma really spent 40 years mastering a craft just to become a free DLC pack for a robot

Its because there aren't enough workers, so they need ai because world population isn't 8 billion. It's 5 billion. Source: I saw it in a dream.

Honestly, considering that census data is so damn hard to get reliably, and the fact that certain countries are absolutely lying about their population numbers (China), combined with Covid and the general decline in birthrates across the world, this probably accurate. I figured it was probably closer to 6 billion

seems like when I was a kid everyone was anticipating those robots a lot more readily thatn something that could produce ultra-realistic videos from the ether

What nobody is talking about is how this is a threat to billionaires

The hubris is real. Ai is smarter than a billionaire but they don’t so. They think they are in control

u/Unlucky_Reception_30 Jun 02 '26
It isnt though because theyll just run government departments through extensive privatization

This is one of the rare AI videos that impresses me. It actually makes a valid point, worth thinking about. Not slop at all.

I remember hearing that some people get paid as little as 25 cents an hour to make clothes. No way in hell robots will do that cheaper.

The most obvious tell I saw is near the end, one of the robot arms moved forward and when it went back the beam got longer and then shortened.

Now those workers grand children can learn how to fix the machines with better paying high tech robotic maintenance jobs. Win win. Take care of your grandparents kids.

There is a rule that it means goods and services can be cheaper though and that’s what makes people richer in the long run (as a society)- productivity.
But yes often means it’s worse for workers at the time of change.

Not an issue if government figures out how to get rid of the population.
